its been over a week now without a reply from admin, so.. Ill ask again:

Hi!

"The Lite versions for P11, P12 & P13 are now available in Included Content.
-Tim
"

Could you please provide a link, i have Poser 11 (bougth here at Renderosity).

It used to be that one could find the files on https://www.posersoftware.com , but no luck there (from what I could see).

Do i need to create an account there? As i remeber it from last i was there, the files resided under "downloads" and you just verified by enetering your Poser serial number.

Regards / Jonny

Except there are still several users of P11. That would mean a flood of tickets.

Please review the post once more. Jonnybode is inquiring about the download of P11 content files, not the software itself. Legacy Poser content files are accessible at Posersoftware.com and can be downloaded from the download section without the necessity to register or log in if my memory serves me right. While P11 content files are not listed, they are the same as the legacy P12 content files. The Poser 11 Library does not support direct content downloads from Posersoftware.com; this functionality is exclusive to P12 and P13. If jonnybode opts to upgrade to P13 and attempts to download content through the Purchase tab in the library, logging into a Posersoftware account would be required. Hence, for jonnybode's concern, logging in is not required to manually download legacy content, but reaching out to support is essential for acquiring P11-specific content files.

The issue is that there is no longer a content link available on the posersoftware.com site for P11 users. You must have a P12 or P13 license in order to access those files now. When you click the link to download the content it asks for a license (serial #). Putting in a license for P11 on the P12 or P13 link will not grant you access. They have removed the P11 links with no explanation for why. This also presents a problem for anyone who has been away from Poser for a while and still needs to update their P11.

Renderosity aka Bondware, posersoftware are already decades in this business and should well know how to make an announcement, how to inform customers, but there is nada, where in the world is the information that you need to contact support to access poser 11 , you just find it here sometimes in the forums between all the lines, where is the why, there is none, all this has a quiet bad aftertaste.

I started playing a bit with the lite version. So no morphs, no nothing.  I tried to see how far I'd come with just adjusting and scaling the expression chips (and neck x.scale). This is where I landed. I think her already looks quite different from the original shape, although there are limitations - no chance to get rid of the chin cleft, and the forms of eye and nose stay basically the same. But the possibility of scaling and adjusting chips should be taken in account when asking wether he can be morphed out of shape. The same is true for La Femme, La Femme 2 and L'Homme, by the way. I tend to forget that, too.

On the left - "morphed version", on the right - original shape.

Very nice!

Just be sure to spawn this as a morph dial, because applying face expressions will override those scales :)

Poser 11 downloads (including content) are limited to registered owners. This is due to restrictions on some of the software libraries Poser 11 uses.

Please open a support ticket at
https://support.posersoftware.com including your Poser 11 license key for download instructions.

I bought Poser 11 here at Renderosity just to make sure that I had access to my Poser files (program and included content), why do I have to open a support ticket?

In my purchase history here at Renderosity resides Poser 11, "order details" contains a download link that points to "Poser Software Downloads".

The link is placed next to my license key, why dont you just make that link active again?

Or if that is not possible, why not just send a site notice or a mail to us people who bougth the product here at Renderosity?

Regards Jonny

If a company knows that there is a problem for X numbers of users, it is normal to fix the problem at the core.

Not to advice above mentioned users to open a individual ticket.

ChromeStar ( ) posted Tue, 12 November 2024 at 9:05 PM

That depends on the value of X and the cost of fixing the problem.

I do technical support and software training for a living (not for graphics), I assure you there are enough problems that some of them will always be too low priority to solve.

"I do technical support and software training for a living"

Then you know that when problem/changes occurs its very importent to inform the end users by mail or similar function, that is done to prevent technical support from getting flooded with calls or emails.

Each ticket has to be handled and replied to, this takes time from the company.

Better to mail the customers an alternativ solution.

I am passed L'Homme2, dont care anymore, it is now a matter of access to my Poser 11 files.

Poser 11 that I bougth here at Renderosity just to make sure that I had access to the files in the future,

Renderosity removed that access.
