they change vertex order AFAIK (which is why it's a series of VDBs loaded in sequence) so it would be a static mesh (I don't have that plugin)
You can do something in Blender with a modifier I think, I have converted particles to mesh in Blender and single VDB clouds, not tried a sequence
@midinick - The Daz plugins and scripts that I own and use work just fine in Daz as long as you save the file to the daz format. Once you export the image to other formats to use in other programs you (I) lose the effect that was in the original image file. My work around is to use Daz Studio, create the image apply the effect, render the image, save the rendered image as a png and use it in a graphics program, using multiple layers to get the final result that I want. My final image has all the effects from the plugins and scripts that I used in the pre-render process.
Thank you for your workaround :) Maybe this is a solution yes, .. unfortunately one reason most of my images have no postwork is, my brain wont learn how to use other programs than Poser XD XD at moment. VDB's (Volume Based Data) aren't meshes as your thinking. They're more a descriptor or set of attributes that get attached to an object. In fact you hide the visibility of the object geometry.
An node can be set so that it does output a mesh, but then it's no longer a volume. OBJ is what is output usually; FBX is just a packaging tool really and uses ojb internally.
But as GGreen is basically saying; is your goal to have the VDB or the final look it creates?
@midinick - I use both Poser and Daz Studio. My 3D program of choice is Daz Studio because I like it better, it offers more things/effects for me. I use Poser only if there is a poser products that has special effects/materials that I want. When I use that Poser product I save the rendered file to png same as Daz Studio. Once I have rendered all of those Poser items they are saved in a folder. If I want to combine the rendered items from Daz and Poser, I use a 2D program. My program of choice is Photoshop. Each of my rendered pngs that I plan to use (remember each png has a different type effect which was created in my 3D programs) is imported as a layer into my 2D program. I apply the layer effects that I want on each layer to get my composite.
Things I never do
1. I never create a file in Daz Studio with plugin effects, scripts, shaders, special effects then export that file to a non-Daz studio format. Meaning obj, fbx, etc because when these things are exported, they lose the intended effect. Some things are specific to Daz Studio. Instead I export the rendered image with the effects to png to use in my 2D program.
2. I never create a file in Poser with the poser materials or scripts applied then export the file to use in Daz Studio. Some things are specific to Poser.
Things I do
1. Create the file with its special effects in that specific program and render it, then save it to png.
2. Use the rendered image (png) file to create my composite in my 2D program. Each file on a separate layer and I apply brushes, overlays, styles, run actions if wanted. Once I get the result I export my file to jpg.

I have a question for DAZ users ^^
I am not that good in DAZ but if I understand this, you can build a volume and from this volume you can make a mesh ... would it be possible to export the mesh as FBX?

The screenshot of the script speaks from "open VDB folder" ... but if it is a mesh.. I should be able to export as FBX .. or I am wrong? It is really sad DAZ has no readme open like Renderosity XD
