Subject: Possible Poser Pro lighting problem?

I was working with the Poser 4 Pro Pack FX and design book and was trying out some new lightning techniques, when I discovered that when I was asked to change the shadow map to 2.75 in the book I couldn't get it past 1.00. Is there something wrong here? I've been experiencing some major problems with my lights since I added those upgrade patches. What gives? Is there a problem still with Poser 4 Pro pack? How high should I be able to turn that dial to?

Its strange but before you can adjust the shadow dial and have it "stick", you have to delete all the default lights in the scene and strat with new lights. Don't know why but such is the case.

Maybe check the 'Max.' and 'Min.' settings for the shadow map. I say this because I've noticed that when I save a scene that has spot lights in it and then re-open it, alot of the 'Min.' and 'Max.' settings reset themselves to 1.00... This, of course, ruins all the work I've done, but...
