... well I'm confused. If you don't tranlate the Body or the Hip the figure is not going to go anywhere -- so whadidja mean? Do you mean "stay in one place" in the frame (as in getting the camera to track with the figure as it moves), or in the universe (just don't translate the figure), or both, or something else entirely perhaps?
Not really related to your query, but I wish the Walk Designer (which I don't find so much "dreaded" -- more a bit LACKING) would have the option for backward walks (would that be drawkcab sklaw or sklaw drawkcab?), something I thought it might have but seems not, after prolonged experiments. Unless I've overlooked something, not an unusual occurrence. Maybe the next version. Good luck with that. Larry F
I know people don't like walk designer but... How many animation sequences have you seen where you see the full figure for long periods from one angle? Most full body shot animations don't stay out there that long. You get a lot of waist up, head and chest, etc. thrown in. Heck half the time all you need to do is swing the arms and translate + and - on the y axis

if you really hate it and you have a few bucks go check out Credo's http://www.charactermotion.com/products/index.htm I have the software and though not an expert yet it seems to be much more flexible. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Is there a relatively easy way to keep a Poser figure in one place while creating a walking animation? Of course, I know how to do it with Walk Designer, but I'm not very happy with typical Walk Designer results. However, without the dreaded Walk Designer, I'm having trouble getting my figures to stay in one place while I create the walk animation. Any advice?
