I think it looks something like this. This is the best character i've done so far in my attempt to portray the Wheel of Time characters. At one time i'd seen a Nynaeve Al'Mere but it's long gone now. Anyway, before you stands a Lurk, a shadowman, the neverborn, fetch, halfman, the eyeless - called different names in different lands, but everywhere Fades and Myrddraal. Without eyes, yet they can see as clearly in night as day, and it's said they can step into shadow and begone, turn sideways and dissappear. Hazy as mist when seen in a mirror, and they are unaffected by the wind, no matter how strong. :) If none of that means diddly doo la la to ya i highly encourage you to go out and pick up The Eye of The World by Robert Jordan, and prepare to surrender the next few months of your life to reading his Wheel of Time :)

I dunno.. I like the armor... but I always think of them with that "maggot white flesh" less of a nose... but thats just me :Grins: the great thing about reading.. But you're right... Damn good series.. been thinking of trying my hand at a trolloc

The red is color from lights left over from a Tha'raknor picture i was gonna do, his skin is really pretty pasty, but pasty = pick up colors easily. Here's one with less red light district. And the props armor i got from someone somewhere on one of the billion pages that i hunt down daily. and the texture for the bodysuit i made today. First one i've done myself :) i'm pretty proud of it's scaliness.

Looks a lot better... I like it a lot. :Grins: You did an excellent job with the texture. Anz

Actually the cloak is one of the better I've seen... do you remember where you got that?

chohole ( ) posted Sun, 11 November 2001 at 9:57 AM

Wot you mean, ya'll probably don't know what a myrdraal is? I thought everyone was in to the wheel of time, when will it ever end? Not quite how I had pictured them , but really good anyway. Got me thinking, maybe I could move on from Katherine Kerr, but her characters are so much prettier.

Oops, sorry, I have to confess, I've never heard of the Wheel of Time. Is it a role playing game or a novel? Excuse my ignorance. Melanie

Is Robert Jordan done with the series yet? I was reading it but I kept waiting for him to finish another book. Decided to wait till he was all done :) Nice character. How did you do the eyeless head? With morphs? smerc

Anzan ( ) posted Sun, 11 November 2001 at 10:39 AM

Mel... no, just a fantasy series.. but a DAMN good one. :Grins: One of the best I've read... along with Goodkind's sword of truth series. I don't know if he'll ever finish the series, Smerc.. :chuckles: I'm scared he's just going to get bored and quit writing and then I'll have to kill him. :grins: Anz

Wonderful series of books written by Robert Jordan warning: he usually makes you wait 2 years on average between books. After my fire which got my bookcase that was in my living room (sob) these books were the first that I replaced. If that is any indication of how well written these are. I started the series when the first book was a new release many years ago, and have re-read every book many times. Right now I have every book in hard back as well as the 3D game & companion book with all the artwork (even though the art looks to be the work of a 12 year old. my opinion only) But as to the fade character I've always imagined them as "eggheads" not even having the indentations where the eyes would be. Other than that, I think you hit the nail on the head. great image. Before my last disk clean up I had done a few of the characters, but I didn't like them enough to keep. I have been playing around with the idea of trying my hand at Loial and the Greenman. (ambitious ain't I?)

Anzan- I don't think he'll get bored with it, my biggest fear is that he'll keel over from a heart attack before he finishes though. Rumor has it that he plans on 11 total books, but he's on 9, waiting is agony.

Pretty sweet! I just picked up Wheel of Time the Roleplaying Game.... looks cool... I'd like to play... but no one in my area seems to be interested... mores the pity.

Cheryle ( ) posted Sun, 11 November 2001 at 11:14 AM

the cloak is Dacort's cloak. Avail here for sale- also there are some nice texture packs for sale her for it as well.

movida ( ) posted Sun, 11 November 2001 at 11:20 AM

that is awesome!

Anzan ( ) posted Sun, 11 November 2001 at 11:21 AM

Actually.. that;'s mine too Shadowcat :grins: I just thought it may have been rude :chuckles: but you seemed to pull it off easily... yeah.. if he died I'd have to sue his family for all my lost time and emotional damage :Grins: That's kind of how I see them to Shadowcat... without even barely perceptable noses... :grins: but its odd how we all see these things in our minds eye. I'd really like to see an Aiel outfit.. that'd be nice. :Grins: Course.. I'd be happy with any sort of shawl or cloak sort of things for the mil people.. More's the better. Anz

My brother tells me they are supposed to not have indentions too, but it's no fun not being able to make them grimace. As for the no eyes morph i look for EVER for them and finally found some at gives up his secret 3d-cc actually under miscillaneous downloads. it's called the Superset and there's a thumbnail for the vicki version, and right under that is a simple link to the Mike version. I forgot that I'd done a Loial too so here in a bit i'll do some pictures maybe of him. Scaled to size of course. I really want to do the main characters but i need a tunic ya know for mike. I also tried a trolloc but oh what a nightmare trying to group body parts and bones and all that ack.. but now that i bought Massive mike i'm thinking i'll try again...

I have always been honest to the point of rudeness, lol. Actually I went back and looked at my Loial charcter, using Vic 2 (planned on using head on mike's body) but no matter how hard I try it still looks to feminine too me. Maybe it will end up being a female Ogier. The texture is not even close to being finished because I'm doing that completely from scratch. But here is is anyway.

Anzan ( ) posted Sun, 11 November 2001 at 1:34 PM

Its the lips and eyelashes I think.. but still.. looks good. The body grouping is whats kept me from the trolloc too... It seems like such a great idea but the time investment would be HUGE :grins:

chohole ( ) posted Sun, 11 November 2001 at 1:47 PM

uess maybe I'll stick with Moraine for starters. she is more in my line.
