Hi all, is there a possibility to remap P4 male/female for DAZ' textures of Mike/Vicki ? Any help would be appreciated, Racoon

Yes it is. Actually AprilYSH did it yet and posted P4 male/female versions that accept Mike and Vicky maps here: http://3-darena.com/ in the free section. I didn't have the time to try them yet, but from the pictures I have seen it is a really good job and works well. Thank you AprilYSH ! BTW AprilYSH posted a remapped Vicky that can use Posette's maps too!

I adapted one of Tim Laubach's textures to fit Vicki once. But I did it all by hand in Photoshop. I just copied the elements of Tim's texture onto the Vicki template. It took a lot of resizing and adjusting and you have to really work for it, but it's possible. Melanie

The V2P4 figure (free from DAZ) is shaped like Posette but mapped for Vicki textures.... I imagine that Mike 2 will probably have something similar. Not to say that there's anything wrong with the ones April did, from what I understand, they're great!

No, she's not free. V2 comes with two versions: Standard Victoria and P4 body version with Vicki's head. I'm assuming Vora's original message was about is some of the great textures created for Posette are not adapted yet for Vicki's two-piece texture map (head and body). I would love to see Tim Laubach's textures adapted for Vicki. As mentioned above, I tried it with one, but it's hard work. Turns out nice, though. The Posette textures won't work on Vicki 2 P4 as she is also mapped in two parts like standard Vicki. It would be nice to see the Posette textures adapted for use with Vicki. Melanie

great textures created for Posette are not adapted yet for Vicki's two-piece texture map (head and body). and that's why we have changed vicki herself so she can take posette textures - so you don't have to edit Tim Laubach's textures (as much... you'll need to work out some issues such as eyebrows and hands.)

...and in addition, my Polly update (which is basically Vicki2P4) can take either Vickie or Posette textures.

But don't the head and body still need to be separately mapped? I mean, you can't just take Tim's textures and apply them to Vicki P4 or Polly without using the separated ones for the Vicki head, right? If not, how does it distinguish between the two different maps? Call me a dummy! Melanie

Just to clear things up... I wanted to revamp old scenes (with a lot of P4 figures) using the fantastic DAZ texture maps which I have purchased with Vicki and Mike. And AprilYSH's figures did that job perfectly. Using DAZ's V2P4 for a P4 fem would have required a new tweaking with the poses, face expressions etc. Also, too many Vicki2s bring my system (Athlon 1.4GB, 1GB DDR) to a grinding halt, due to the sheer polygon count of Vicki2 (I already had to reduce the texture resolutions). vora

melanie, thanks to Aprils re-mapping work, the new Polly can now take either full texture. No longer have to use seperate (ie, Vickie head, Posette body). There is now a version2a (takes Posette textures in full) and version2b (takes Victoria textures in full). I got a thread around here somewhere that shows it.

vicki to take posette maps, and posette to take vicki maps are at 3-darena.com polly is posette body with vicki head (so you can use vicki head morphs on this hybrid while still wearing posette clothes), and she can take either posette maps or vicki maps available when WarriorDL releases the secret location ;)

you did a great job on that neck join!!! it's a good looking neck too, imo. what did you have to do?
