Well this is what you can do, it's fun, i'll post more if you guys like the technique. Process slide film regularly (e-6) then don't cut or mount the negs, then run the film through the printer like it was a reular c-41 roll. Fiddle with the colours and density to make the blacks white (or whatever colour) and voila! Well, i like it heh. A fun use for slide film if you have the equipment (only around 50 or 60 grand) or if you REALLY like the technique you can always quit your dayjobs and become a lowly photolab-rat like me and see millions of EXACTLY THE SAME PICTURE, family around christmas tree, eiffel tower from below, crappy shot from CN tower, las vegas, Butchart gardens..oh someone please kill me if i see another flower! oops heh right .....uhhhhh. g'night

I actually really love my job, i mean some days i get to work with photoshop restoring images all day, and it's worth it for those few times you get original images. Plus it's super easy andi get some free film, some free developing, canon equipment below cost, can't really argue, beats slingin burgers =) Oh and actually the best thing is it teaches me what kind of pictures NOT to take. Because i've seen so many crappy pictures, i can put the camera to my eye and immediately know if it's a boring picture, now, i can't alway tell if it's going to be good, but at least i know if it's gonna be boring.

Another wierd thing to try is called cross-processing. Shoot your slide film normally, then get it processed as if it were regular c-41 neg film. Some very wierd color shifts depending on the film you use. It might take some negotiating, but if you can convince your photolab that this WILL NOT screw up their c-41 chemistry it is definately worth trying. I'll post if i can find my shots.

I'm not familiar with LED, except i'm assuming it's light emitting diode? Ours right now is about 7 years old, all optical, which is good in some ways.

I've seen this kind of stuff before. I think it was a CD cover from a electronica ablum. So that's how they did that! Am I the only wond who messed up a roll of slide file by processing it wrong? Bsteph
