This is sorta superficial...but I'm trying find a name for my poser model. But I don't know what names are already taken. I don't wanna step on any toes by using a name that is already being used. If you have any idea's for a name and you know its not taken...please let me know. You can click on the link above to see the woman model for whom the name is for. Thanks in advance :)

Solo--don't sweat it--if we as a race can share names, then wouldn't it follow that our Poser characters can share the same names too? If someone freaks out because you named your model Sue and they named their model Sue, then maybe that person needs to loosen up (a couple of drinks, a few laxatives). Oddly enough, a name will pop into my head shortly after shaping a character's face. Something about the way the figure looks will suggest a name. That's the name to go with. Don't worry about other people's toes when it comes to the creative process, go with your gut. Oh, P.S. the cool thing about naming your figures (as opposed to naming real people) is that those models don't have to worry being tortured in jr. high because the name Candi or Helmut just sounded so right at the time. Thank God we can all claim that first names reflect our parents' bad taste and not ours.

You made her. I do sculptures of people and small characters out of fantasic ideas... I look at tehm and it almost seems like they tell me their names. Make her come to life for yourself. Stop doubting that you MADE a character. Like a writer or a sculptor we here MAKE characters. Look at my Ms. Gredenco. She has a distinctive look and people who use the character still refer to her as Ms. Gredenco. She is "alive" as a character. You have the talent - call it a muse if you must. Just trust yourself and listen to it.

Or, you could go here http://www.babynames.com/ and get REALLY confused. Actually, since I keep seeing her in or near water, I'd go with a water name such as Kelby or Mailyn as it will also say something about her character.

But since you like Catherine you could combine it and get..... Caitlyn. Hope I haven't made this harder!

I am using one of those names for a character, but she's not for general download and is only for my reference... I name figures I like in scenes with more than one figure. It helps keep track of what prop/clothing is associated with which figure. I kinda like Jennifer. Reminds me of someone I knew WAYYYY back when.

awwwhhhh.. now you've got the two parts of me fighting. The nice me wants to tell you, but the miserable rat-bastard me wants to make you squirm.... Jennifer. (damnit - gonna have to kill that part of me)

I created a character named Jennifer in Poser 3 and made her my default character. She is still in my character libraries.

Hmmmm.... Freakachu... you and I need to sync up and make sure it's not the same girl moonlighting on our machine. You know how loose these poser females are - no damn loyalty!
