Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
No, I don't have Pro Pack. I use Poser 4 both in school and a copy that we got deals on from school. It's still the MetaCreations version of Poser.

If you search the Freestuff area for MAT files, I think there is a white posette MAT there... I know people have done white MATS for the horse and the Poser man. If there's not one there, let me know and I'll make one and put it up. (You probably already know it, but a MAT file is a pose file that changes all the material settings of an object. I think it should work in your version of Poser.) -nemo
Yeah, I've figured that out...but I've also been running into problems with characters like Eve 4, Poser keeps telling me that she has a newer version number and it can't read it :( But I'll check and let you know. Thanx for the help so far.

The first question: Have you installed the patch to bring Poser up to version 4.03? If you haven't, follow the provided link to their site and download and install the patch. This is very critical, since it fixes a lot of bugs.. including some messages about a file being from a newer version. Now if/once that patch is installed, there is another instance in which you'll get this "newer version" message. If someone creates something in Poser Pro Pack, you get that message. Usually Poser 4.0X complains a few times, but survives. You might consider resaving the item into your library with the same name. That way you won't get the message again.Ahh...found the white pf woman...Thank you for the help :) Someday I hope to get this totally!

The version { number 4 } is the Poser version, if you set it to a higher number than you are running you get the irritating, "This file has a newer version number than expected, Poser will attempt to read it anyway" error. Simply open the model in a text editor and change the number. It's in the begining of the file as seen in the image above. BTW. Thats a one channel bodymorph pose. I have several MAT files on my site to make Posette (and other Poser figures) white.Click on the link -- then click Freebies and then Textures.

Is there a way to completely white out a posette's (or any poser models for that matter) material colors? I'm getting a little tired of having to change 20 some colors per model when I add a texture to it LOL Is there something around here maybe or a way to have some file in poser itself that could change the colors?
