I am new to the 3-d animatin world. Ive been using 3 d s max for the last 4 months and i just got may hands on poser4 and bryce5. I do not know the first thing about either program. Can anyone please point me in the direction for some easy tutorials or give me some hints on where i should start. Any help would be most appreciated. Best regards.

Hi there Welcome to the wonderful world of Poser. The simple answer to your question is click on the tutorials link on the Renderosity masthead, there's enough there to keep you busy for a while, good stuff too, some of these are written by some very accomplished people - enjoy :-)

Agreed with peejay. Also consider visiting http://www.brycetech.com and http://www.posertech.com both are excellent resources for tutorials, hints and tips and general information. You could try cracking open the manuals too. No, seriously they're not just doorstops and table levellers there are a couple of interesting bits in them that help you use the applications. There are a few other places on the net that are worth a visit but you'll discover those as you get into the programs and ask questions aroung the forums.

I included the link the to Curious Labs Poser 4 Product Information Page. This may sound a bit elementary, but believe me I know it's important to cover the issue as soon as possible. You want to make sure your version of Poser is 4.03... There was an important update that fixed many problems with Poser 4. I actually ran into someone who had Poser for several months, and had some big problems that even prompted the new user to wipe the computer's hard drive and reinstall all the software. That didn't help. Once the user installed the upgrade, the problems disappeared. I always like to take a chance and see if I can save you some troubles.

ronknights is correct. Get the 4.03 patch from the CL site!
