hey... nobody likes my amazing wonder eyes! ::sniffle:: okay, so everybody else's require less work than mine. that's okay. i only made mine for me to use in my new figures anyway. :) but here's a poll: you eye guys... did you make the pupil/iris area flat under the cornea, or did you leave it on the surface of a sphere? looks like nerd did flat ones (which are how they really are, anyway.) :)
Bloodsong, Yep, flat iris, The cornea is raised a little bit, just like a real eye. the "lense" is a hole in the iris showing through to the inside of the eye. The "retina" is dark red. The normals on the back of the eye face in. The only real glitch is that the "eye socket" on the P4 head are very shallow. Use the grouping tool to select them, assign them a material then set that material to be completely transparent. Where are you eyes? Are they cooler than mine?
heya; no, my eyes aren't cooler than yours. i dont think :) they're at poserworld. i left the iris part rounded out, because i didnt think the flattened iris would work too well; i was following the zygote round-eye model, actually. (and i made a non-cornea version for p3 people.) i'm gonna have to try flattening the front of the p4 version. yours looks good. anyhow... in my eyes, the retina part isn't all the way in the back of the eye, it stops just before the half-way mark. would that help with the eyesockets in the way biz? what i did was actually grab the center circle and push it into the eye to create the pupil/cornea; not cut a hole.

Great minds think alike. I started these because I wanted an animatable Iris and Red-eye effect. Then I found out Bushi was working on them too. I decided to post what I've got so far. The eyes are in two formats in the ZIP. First as smart props. Real easy to use that way. Second as an OBJ. You can integrate this into your existing favorite figure. Instructions for integration are included. MT's for the Pupil size and texture maps are included. The eyes are in the props section of downloads.
