I have downloaded some free clothing files. Probably a dumb question, but I do not know how to add them to the library. The files are jpg and the files in the clothing are cr2 (?). Please tell me how to do this. I am so overwhelmed right now. I have a lot to learn here. Wow! Brainfreeze....

Save the textures in your Runtime/Textures directory, in a sub-directory where you can easily find them. You use them as texture maps for the appropriate pieces of clothing. (Page 244 and beyond of the manual.)

You can also try my application PInstall at the attached link. PInstall is a standalone application which allows you to install poser library objects (characters, poses, textures, etc) without needing to figure out which files go in which Poser subdirectory--PInstall does it for you. You don't even have to unzip library files stored in zip archives. Also, you can use PInstall to unzip and install a variable number of archives automatically!

I'll go with markdc on this one, the PInstall is a great program to have.

OK, the cr2 files are character files. They need to go into RuntimeLibraryCharacter. You might need to create a folder for them. Read the readme files that come with the zip, usually the creator has included instructions for installation (if there's no readme in the zip, shame on the artist who created the file). If not, contact the person who created it and see if there are any special instructions for installing. The jpg files are texture maps that will texture the cr2 items. Sometimes there will be an obj included, which needs to go into the Geometries directory. I hope this helps some. Melanie I hope this helps.
