Hello, I only have Poser4 to work with and I see all these great images posted using Bryce and read the tutorial by PhilC on how to use Truespace for making clothes. I bought the latest issue of the above magazine because it had demo's of Bryce, Rhino, and Truespace. But I cannot find Truespace on the CD. Has anyone see the CD? Can you find Truespace? And maybe a little advice if you don't mind. I bought Poser4 when it first came out and was just about to lay down the 79 dollars for one year of support. I guess that is not a good idea now?? (I usually find the answer to most of my questions from everyone here) I know I am old and wear bifocals, but I cannot find the Truespace demo. Thanks, Bill

Hi wayneout I had the same problem, it does not load up from the CD interface. I am on a PC with Windows 98 and this is how I loaded it. Put the CD in and once it autoruns exit Open "My Computer" on your Desktop Right click your CD drive letter. Use the "Explore" or preferably "Explore from here" option that pops up. You should see a folder called "ts3se" fourth down. Right click it and use the "Explore" or "Explore from here" option again. Double click the setup icon in the folder. This will load up an unrestricted version of Truespace3/Se. There is also a Demo of Truesapace4 on the CD. if you want this and the other demos instead of opening up the ts3se folder open up the "pcsoft" folder then the "featured" folder then the "Truespace4 demo" folder and double click the "setup" icon. This should do it for you.

Hello Storm, I tried all of the above and there is no ts3se folder on the disc. There is not a Truespace4 Demo folder under the pcsoft foler either. Maybe they quit putting it on the CD, but the magazine says that it is on the CD. I even did a "find" for ts3se and couldn't find it. I have windows 98, but I only have "explore", couldn't find a "explore from here" Thanks, Bill

wayneout, Don't think you're going crazy here. I couldn't find it, my neighbor couldn't find it. We don't think it is there. "ts3se" I/we mean. Of course, I'm willing to be wrong but it is reassuring to me that someone else had the same problem. I was starting to wonder, though.

To Wayneout and Larry you appear to be looking at the wrong issue of the magazine and this may have to do with the later arrivals of the magazine in the States and Canada. Computer Arts publish the Computer Arts Magazine and they also occasionally publish Computer Arts Specials. To make it more confusing they also publish extra issues of their regular Computer Arts Magazine. To hopefully explain: 1. The Current issue of the normal Computer Arts magazine is issue 38 (December 99) and has a Byrce render with a female model on the cover. On page 67 it lists a Truespace4 demo. As far a I can determine this is not on the CD and was not what I was posting about. 2. In addition to issue 38 (December) they have also just published issue 39 (Winter 99)of the Computer Arts Magazine which is in addition to the normal 12 calender month issues. This also is not the one my post was about. 3. I was talking about the SPECIALS which Computer Arts publish from time to time. The current one (no.6) contains the full version of Truespace3/SE. If you go to the 3D Applications Forum and my post of 12/17/99 you can see a pic of the mag's cover. Truespace3/SE is definatly on this one's CD as well as a Demo of Truespace4. I hope this clears up everything

STORM, Thanks very much. I figured it was something like that. I do have No. 38 and it does say on the CD cover TrueSpace4 but, of course, it must be a misprint. I'll look around for the other one, the correct one, that is. Actually the only reason I bought that issue was because I saw on the CD that it said TrueSpace4 Demo. I already have Paint Shop Pro 6 and Bryce 4. Thanks agaon and, hey, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Larry F

Hello, Thanks for the info. I am searching for the number 6 magazine now. But so far no luck. I will try and order it directly from the company. It is my first reading of this mag and it is great. I did receive a letter from the company who publishes it and they said I could return the cd, but I think I will keep it for the Bryce demo. Thanks for all the help. Bill
