Hi there, I've just started to make some props with Rhino 3D (v.2), to use in Poser (4.03). I create these as Rhino files (.3dm) then convert them to .obj files. This creates very complex (and large) files with thousands of polygons (a 'simple' cylinder has over 10,000). I have tried to 'reduce' the polygon count and lower the number of polygons when saving the .obj files but this invarably leads to distortions and incomplete surfaces on the finalised prop. Does any one know of an 'easy' way to lower the size of a file ? Any other tips for Rhino/Poser modelling welcome. Thanks

When you mesh your nurbs, uncheck the refine option and increase you max angle.. you just have to play with the values under advanced optins till you get something that is within you polygon budget. If you need more help, try in the Rhino forum.. Very helpful folk there :)
