I can't tell for sure from the thumbnail, but I think that Gloria Ghast's Thoth character is wearing the sort of crown you describe. Here's a link to her site.

Also, Traveler posted an Egyptian Pharaoh in the Characters section at PropsGuild.

Isn't it strange? I'd prefer a more understated version basically, the crown with the wings and the bird (the red crown) coming to about sideburn level in the front, shoulder length in the back; the white crown the peak and the serpent not rising to half the figure's height again, but perhaps only 8-10 inches; perhaps a bit more. Cybermonk, if you are thinking of modeling it, I might be able to recompense you in some way. Money being a possibility. I can't model not owning a modeling program is part of that! :P Must... feed... photoshop... habit... must... have... Kai's... power... tools...
No charge, happy to help.I like a good challenge. My only problem is geting a better Idea of it. I've been searching on the net looking for some some more references. The stuff is all profile though and a bit abstract looking. What I'll do is make some thing show it to you and let you tell me what changes need to be made. If you have enough time and patience I can build it. lol My email is cymonk@cp-tel.net if you need to get a hold of me.

Well, wow, that would be excellent! Thanks! Only if you really want to do it thoughI'm not a modeler, so I don't know how hard this would be. Let me look about for images... so far I'm coming up mostly with heiroglyphs. Basically, it's a wide ringlet that goes around the skull. Two crowns are built into that: a red one, which extends down the neck to shoulder length and down to the front of the ears where the wings in the picture are, leaving the ears exposed, with the figure of an eagle (or some bird of prey) with s-curved neck rising from the center-forehead of the crown, not high but extending outwards; for the white crown, a high, peaked hood, sloping back with the angle of the forehead and bending forward a bit towards the top; a serpent in a more elongated s-shape arises from the same center as the bird-form, rising to 3/4ths the height of the hood. Must find better picture! I'm at peaseblossom@innocent.com.
I don't know if any of these images are copyrighted, so I'll just post the links.

Hope these help.
Yes, LittleDragon, that's precisely the thing! VirtualSite, I don't have a subscription to Poserworld, so I can't be sure. Could you post an image? My funds are suffering from recent Daz purchases and Christmas, and I can't really afford to just buy a subscription in the hope it'll have what I want, unfortunately.
Glad I could be of assistance. There's a picture of Poserworld's Pharoah outfit on page 4 of the site's Subscription Preview section. Looks like the upper crown, rather than the double. Here's the link:
Strangechilde, it's something like what you want, but not quite, I just looked because I am also in the middle of an Egyptian project and was looking for a few things that I need. The links that were provided are really wonderful reference points Little Dragon. :) Now if I could also learn to model :) Good luck!! Pendy

Trim is good- it will help me texture the model! With the extra reading I've been doing I've discovered that the bird is not merely a bird, it's the god Thoth; sort of a crane head with a downward-bent, flamingo-like bill (not quite so heavy; I don't think Thoth is a baleen feeder). I'm not sure what kind of a bird it is. I know far more about the Cthulhu mythos than Egyptian history, unfortuantely! The very top of the white crown is still getting me a little bit-- it's a bit too bottle-like. If it could resemble more the top of th red corwn as you've done it, that would be ace. It's great work very regal! I'm really looking forward to doing a texture for it!
Top is MUCH better. Wow! But here it is 5 AM again; I have got to go to sleep... That is such a great model! For the snake, perhaps not much need be changed. All it needs is a pointier snoot, with a hooked character, like a hawk's beak, but curved more like a spoonbill... oooooh, hallucinating David Attenborough, must sleep now...
I believe I've about got it. Kind of got behind schedule there. Sorry for the lack of updates. I have a proposition for you Strangechilde. I was thinking about putting the Pshent up in free stuff. You said you were going to make a texture for it right? How would you feel about sharing it in the free stuff? I'll host it with the Pshent. Giving you credit for your work of course. It would save me from making one and you oviously have a definite vision of what they should look like.

No worries about lack of updates! It's Holidays. I figured you were probably having a good time or something. :) Actually, I have no idea what it should look like detail-wise, but I have an idea of how I would like to texture itand if you're willing to host, I am more than happy to have whatever I do up in Freestuff as well. Is it a straight .obj? Shall I run it through UVmapper myself? I'd like to do some more intrcate detail on Thoth.

This is the double crown of ancient Egypt; the peaked one with the curled serpent rising form the crown. I need this for a character project (Nyarlathotep, no less). Preferably for free (of course), but I'll happily pay for a very nice one. Does anyone know where I might find such a thing? I'm coming up short! Thanks!
