Well. Not just his convictions. He's got a point. VUE beats out Bryce hands down it would seem.

What's wrong with letting Vue 3 owners know that there is a place where they can post their work and discuss their app? I've been a long time forum member and I own Vue 3 because bryce was simply out of my budget (hubby said "no @#$%# way are you spending that much"). It would be NICE to have others here who know how to use the program so I could ask them about techniques and technical problems, just the way I can with Poser and y'all can with Bryce. I admit, Bongo gets a bit...um...how to say it politely...aha!... BOISTEROUS in his enthusiasm over the program, but other than that he seems a decent sort and he has been limiting himself primarily to the 3D APPS forum the past few days. Kate (who will join the ranks of the VUE users as soon as I learn how to use it)
Kate, Nothing wrong with Vue users posting their work here!!! I found Bongo's post because I was trying to lern more about Vue d'Esprit. BTW it looks a great software, multithreaded and all. Pitty it seams to lack 3D clouds & fogs, but I saw some quite amazing images at Vue's gallery. I just find Bongo too intense is his "Holy Quest" to convince us all, something like: Hey guys! there is life after death (MC's?), alliens are everywere and Elvis is alive! That's why I posted that message as a joke, to protect the pure brycean souls from the sad true that may exist a better and cheaper application around :-) Nandus
Were'd you get Bryce at that price? VUE is $199 retail. Bryce is much more normally.

Actually I've seen it several places at that price. Online at eBay just by searching for Bryce. I got mine at the local university here at an academic price. I'm not a student nor did I pretend to be one. I just went in and bought it. ;) I actually have purchased Bryce v1 through 3 and was going to upgrade through MetaCreations but after their decision to dump it I bought it from the university instead.
I like both Bryce4 and Vue3 May be Bongo is a passionate enthousiast, may be too much ,No problem with me,i like passinate person about someone or something but i understand ones prefer no too much enthousiasme.Anyway i think also 3d forum is not a metacreation place .And according to me it would be nice to share tricks about excellent soft like Vue.Happy holidays to everyone

Fellow Brycers, While surfing in a Vue Forum I found a new Bongo's attempt against our beloved Bryce, in his "Quest for the Holy Vue": "Posted by Bongo-Sarong on December 15, 1999 at 20:15:19: Hi, I have been posting my VUE 3 images on a U.S. website at www.Renderosity.Com. Most Americans have not seen VUE before and were very surprised, and even did not believe some of the VUE images they were seeing. Now they are in total shock because MetaCreations is going out of the 3D business- and they are very interested in VUE 3. Its a great time to show VUE 3 artwork. I would like to invite any VUE 3 users, especially in Europe, to post some of your images there. The easy and least expensive way is to get a free website at www.geocities.com. You don't have to pay anything or be a U.S. citizen. You can then upload your VUE 3 images in JPEG format and link them to the Renderosity.com website. They must be posted as links because Renderosity cannot support large JPEG traffic on their own servers. The new FORUM for VUE is called "3D Applications", and they will probably give VUE users their own FORUM later. You can also use this FORUM to commercially promote your own websites by putting your name and web address on your posted images. Show American 3D fans some of your best VUE artwork. I know they will be very surprised and excited to see it. Bongo Sarong On a Pacific Island " CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??? NANDUS the site is: www.halcion.com/alrives/vue/
