This image is very beautiful John. The light looks great and I recognice the great looking flowers from tucan :-). Just 3 small remarks I have if you don't mind : the apple has no shadow on the table and I think it is flying in the air. The asparagus is in a very dangerous situation. "Ping" with the little finger and it will fall down. One of the white flowers has the stem outside the pot. Maybe you can arrange that. The image is worth this little more work. :-)Guitta Guitta
Thanks Guitta, The apple had a shadow under it but I couldn't get it soft enough, it looked to distracting. What I did was place a spotlight above it to remove the hard shadow. And the asparagus..... Every time I moved it further down onto the table, it seemed to go into the table... this was as close as I could get to just having it "sit" on the table. Thanks very much for your suggestions, I do appreciate them, John Also, I forgot to mention, the food and flowers are from Trillium36.
Oh, I thought the flowers were from tucan, where they are free. They look exactly the same. To place the asparagus exactly where you want, you best can do the following : In the top view, grap it with your mouse and place it where you would like to have it on the table (no matter if it seems to go into the table wood). Then, in the side view window, bring it up largely OVER the table. Atleast click at the last icon on bottom left (drop object to ground) and it will fall exactly on the table :-) Guitta
The apple has a more pleasing shadow now.
The asparagus was moved onto the table (I keep
fogetting about the "drop object" button.... works like a charm.
The HUGE (lol) flower stem had been removed.
I like this much better! Guitta, you are a great teacher! Thanks very much :)

Hey, this is a beautiful picture John.. You definitely have a knack for getting these intimate, ambient setting... The smoke particles in the air add a nice touch.. And the view outside the window is very cool too... Love the wall outlet too.. Never know when you gotta plug something in... :) Actually, i think what guitta was trying to say was that the daisy is coming through the wall of the flower pot... Or is there a crack in that pot??? In any event, kudos for another great pic.. :)

Still working on interiors. I find them really challenging. They're great learning exercises though, for moving, placing and sizing objects. Not that you don't have to do that with outdoor scenes.....
I love playing with light and shadows also. I placed a spotlight directly over the cantaloupe and apple because the cast shadows from the other lights in the room made way too many shadows, and everything got too busy.
Learning a little bit more with each scene.
Happy Weekend,
John :)
