Subject: How do I get the entire texture map in Painter 3D rather than a small part?

Hello; Take a look at this. When I try to paint in Painter 3D it keeps giving me into my canvas just a small part of the figure as per it's body part in Poser. It also makes that part VERY SMALL. Too small to work any detail into. Yet I notice when I look at finished texture maps they are one image file, not one per body part... How can I get painter 3D to give me all the parts on one canvas and to make them big enough to work with? Thanks for any advice. I've tried the Painter 3D tutorial at http://members.xoom.com/lafolli/dragonfish.html but it doesn't help with this issue. Thanks.

The Poser model must be in a single part or Group. The model you have there probably contains multiple groups.

Colm has written a good tutorial for that using the UVMapper. Check the links on the right under tutorial, do a search for Painter 3D and you should be all right.

I've figured it out. If this doesn't work, you might need the P4 patch. I never tried this before I loaded the patch. Export your figure as Detailer Text. Leave everything default in all the popup windows. Open Painter 3D, and Aquire Detailer Text. Mine wants to open it at 750X750, but that uses too much memory. 200X200 is plenty big enough for the model. Then select a brush and click on the model. The mapping window will come up. Set your map size there. Expand the maps manager pallet, and check "Display Mesh". Paint on the map, and the results show on the model. When you are done, save the map as a TIF or JPG.
