this is a school girl i am *trying* to render. she is "Mira" by angielyn, i really like this character. i applied her texture to the preteen and a lil' tweeking. the shirt texture is my dad's plaid shirt i scanned. i put too much blush on her cheeks (that is not angielyn's work, it is my goof) i am trying to make her have a bad note from the teacher in her hand (chewing gum in class)-because of the bubble gum prop from free stuff i am dying to use. she will be standing in front of her father to give it to him. does she look worried to you? is her hand grasped right to hold the note thingy above? can anyone suggest how to make it better for me? also, there are no socks for the milgirls?

Good work so far Cinnamon. A few tips would be to have her staring up at her father. She still has that blank poser stare. Also you might want to try posing her with her arms behind her back with the note. That would make it look like she is in really BIG trouble. Good luck.

... in your own hand and note the rotation of the forearm, the bend, tilt (side to side) of the hand, and the relative bend and position of the fingers and thumb. Just my $.02. ;=]

her father is sitting down in a chair and he was reading the newspaper, she is approaching him. thats how come i have her eyes kinda down like that. her mother sent her in the den (will change the chair later) to show it to him. i like the arms behind her back idea. here is a pre render i did to study the father's pose so i could do her expression and eyes.

Schlabber had some brilliant hand poses, including some for holding things, which I use a lot. Don't know if they are currently available but you could try his site.

How about tilting her head down and her eyes looking up at him? Like she is being scolded and feeling ashamed.

Re Choholes message. A set of Schlabbers hand poses are available now at the 3D Comic Collective site (there`s a link to it on the bottom right of this page). It contains 90+ hand poses, including some specific "holding poses", and is free. It is in the "Misc" section on page 7.

Where did you get her hair and eyes, they are beautiful. Sharen

thats a good idea! i'm going to try that (tilt her head down and have her look up) i'm off to try to find schabblers hand poses, thanks for the heads up. the eyes are very pretty and i did not have to do anything to them. they are mira's eyes, and her textures, by angielyn. she was for vicky and vicky 2. but i was amazed she took pre-teen and even pre-school geos so good. the hair is a mask from software i purchased called "Seventeen Style Studio Deluxe" and textured painted in photo brush with a few different brushes and smudging to blend in and sharpening the braids. I think the program was 19.99. The good thing is that it lets me import an image as big as 1000x1000 into it. i like it allot. the poser pig tails just wouldnt work for her:-(
