This gets sort of complicated until you know your way around a CR2 file, but there is no need to use PHI Builder if it is a add-on for an existing figure. The way I did it was to pick a sister part and do a global search and replcae on the name with the new part name, then drag all the newely renamed parts into anoother copy of the same CR2. There are 5 places that must be moved, the part list at the very top, the detailed part list in the second section (where the actual bending info lives), the references to it in the parent for this part, and two more in the last section, the first is the parent-child list, the second is the weld list. After doing that, assuming the very first mention calls you added geometry correctly, you should be able to open the figure, and work with the joint editor to get the correct centers and bending settings. Can be done, maybe a little complicated, though! Don't forget all the regular rules, like childeren can't have any ajoining mesh if you want to weld the seam, I don't know how PhilC does that, either!
Jim can does the body part have to fall in any particular order? for instance..say I have a character with 3 joint in the tail and I want to add 3 more. Can I put these in any order in the cr2 or do they have to follow a pattern such as is set out in the actor declarations at the start of the cr2? BT

I want to add more bodyparts to a fully joint edited figure. I already manipulated the *.obj file and tried to re-set up the figure with a phi file, but as it is a very complex figure (a poser human), the rearranging of the joints is very complicated! Is there a way to use the old cr2 file an manipulate it that way, that it accepts the added body parts for the figure and still works with the old joint settings and cannels? Or is there a software that does that for me (like cr2Edit?)...? Thank You, LeeJ
