Subject: Poser eyelashes

Hello all, When I import poser 4.2.1.179 (with propack installed) figures into vue 4.03, they eyes are alwats outlined in a thick geometry, that I am assuming are the eyelashes. There does not seem to be a way to make the eyelashes import correctly, or not at all. Even if I flatten them in Vue, they still appear. This causes a weird effect around the eyes that I need to painstakingly paint out. As you can not edit the textures on the individual componants of the face, I can not just simpley retexture them or add transparencies. Am I missing something? (I probably am). Thank you, Eryk

It has been my experience that the eyelashes import with 50% transparency (thick geometry). You can edit the eyelashes by using the Material Summary (F6 shortcut). Charles

yeah, first check to make sure that the transparency (in Vue) is set to 100% for the eyelashes, through the Material Summary window, not the World Browser).

Are you using the standard P4 figures? Because I don't think they have the transparency option that Michael and Victoria have. I could be wrong though :)

I was actually using victoria and some spin offs of her. The F6 shortcut that Charles mentioned works like a charm. :)

Something I've gotten in the habit of doing as well is to set the eyelashes to not cast shadows (or is that "not to cast shadows"?)

now that is a good idea. I will try that as well. it may help to stop problems in the future. Thank you Timberwolf.
