Subject: Problem with order from marketplace

Katinka18 ( ) posted Tue, 12 February 2002 at 9:42 AM · edited Tue, 12 November 2024 at 2:06 PM

Hello Folks, since sunday i'm trying to buy some stuff from the marcet place and i know my credit card (mastercard)is ok. This card expired first on 11/03 but always i get the error message "Order Process Failure, Declined" I typed my number correctly with and without spaces but always the same message. Please can you give me any help how i can buy the files. Yesterday i've mailed this problem to the store, but i got no answer. Katja

Katja, I had the same problem. It never happened before with the old marketplace and I was using internet explorer 5.0. My only solution was to use the latest version of Netscape and it works just fine (I could not reinstall internet exporer due to problems with my win98SE btw). Hope that helps. Dennis

Thanks for your answer. I tried it with netscape again, but it doesn't work. :-(( Now my boyfriend has ordered the things. The only way for me, to get the items. With visa-card it is no problem, only with mastercard. And i got no answer from the store yet.

Katja, I'm sorry it did not worked. I'm using visa-card btw, so I guess it worked just fine. It usually takes one day at most to get a reply from the store. Hang on there.. it'll work out. Cheers. Dennis

hi Katja i've got exactly the same problem. ie card type and expiry date and the 'declined' message been trying to get an order placed now for 10 days with no success at all. tried 3 browsers, spaces, nospaces, varied security settings and so on. even checked with CC co as to how they store data to see if the data format of something like the tel no was an issue did get responses from yvette first couple of emails but no response to last couple to her or the store. to be fair, some messages here from store did refer to mail server probs so may not have arrived do you live in the USA? i don't and wonder if that is part of cause. some Swiss chap posted a week or so ago wondering if his problems were caused by the sys assuming US data types in the field structures. as a for instance, the form says fill out all fields but i just don't have a second address line. i leave it blank, but if it expects something........? anyone else using mastercard had it work? and any of you from ex USA? anyone from ex USA get anything to work? alan

Me too!!! I've tried again a couple of minutes ago and it still doesn't work despite a message from Yvette which said it was OK now. I've a mastercard and buying from outside USA.

Hello everyone, Some of the purchasing problems have been fixed and others we are still working on. When a card is "declined" it means that your bank denied the transaction. And we don't have any way of determining why without contacting that bank personally. Which is very time consuming and often delays my responses to each of you. I will send an email to each of you asking for additional information. I will have to tackle each individually. thanks, yvette

One more thing!! I've bought two days ago some products at Daz3D with the same credit card and it was OK. I want to buy at Renderosity!!! :-) Thanks for your concern.

Ohhhh, I know. This is really been frustrating. I appreciate everyone helping with the additional information. When we figure this out you'll be able to hear me shout with joy no matter where in the world you live :) yvette

I'll try to remember and redo of what I did to make it work last week (using netscape instead of internet explorer). I'll probably buy something reasonably cheap to test it first. Gimme a couple of hours and see if I cancome up with something... Dennis

Yvette, I did another purchase today and again, it works, after some tinkering. Here's the breakdown of what I did. 1) First I tried using IE 5.0 but didn't work. I kept getting the error message. I also could not install / reinstall to a newer version of IE due to my corrupted win98 SE. 2) Then, I installed netscape 6.2 with all default settings, and it works. The filled fields are as shown in red in the attached figure. I was using a visa check card btw. I hope this might help you pinpoint and solve this problem. I also hope the new marketplace would be running as smooth as before and even better soon. Hang on there Yvette. Dennis

Thank you for the inforomation rkamil. What we do know is that for some reason the internationl mastercard purchases are not being recognized by the banks and in turn being declined. After more research we will be calling our processing company on monday to track this illusive problem. thanks, yvette

yvette - tried again 23.54hrs gmt still not working. same story 'order declined' appreciate you must be totally fed up by now but does anyone have any ideas at all? mastercard europe can't have barred transactions with the vendor (bondware etc) for any reason, can they? surely must be something fairly simple if it all worked before and isn't now looking forward to the solution! alan

vette ( ) posted Wed, 20 February 2002 at 8:18 AM

We are "actively" discussing this with our processor. They still maintain their system is working fine. We beg to differ. I will send you an email. There is a way we can get your products to you. yvette

The problem was resolved yesterday. If you continue to have problems, please email store@renderosity.com and we'll look into it right away. We appreciate your patience through this process. thanks, yvette
