Subject: Looking for lothing prop...

LeeEvans ( ) posted Fri, 22 February 2002 at 11:14 AM · edited Wed, 12 February 2025 at 7:09 AM

Does anyone know where I can locate a "free" poser (for Mike or Vicky) clothing prop of the frilly neck thing that a Jester would wear? Or something like the neck peice shown on old time people (Shakespear?) ... Any help would be appreciated.. (don't know what that thing is called, or I'd search for it... and let me tell you, doing a search for "Frilly neck thing" won't pull up anything useful! LOL) Thanks again... -Lee

Have you already looked in Free Stuff? If not, that's the place to start.

I think the frilly neck thing is called a ruff, but that doesn't guarantee it to be filed that way. Or spelled that way. No, I haven't seen one in Free Stuff, but I've only looked there a couple of hundred times.:)

:) I have made one, - and will see if I can get it uploaded to the free stuff during the day. I "NEED" to see the Norwegians playing the curling finals in the olympics, though. laughing Britt

I was looking in free stuff, and found a jester hat. Maybe the same person made the ruff?! Fits Vickie for Lourdes Jester Hat 3-pt By: ElectricAardvark Feb 21, 2002 PC/Mac 345 downloads

Thank you Cooler!! That is exactly what I was hoping for! (It's been said before, and I'll say it again... The people on the R'sity site are the best, and most helpful anywhere!!) -Lee

Hi, I remmeber seeing a balt dancer somewhere, (called nataila) I think, that was wearing a tutu. Which, if scaled properly would make a great "ruffle" now if only I caould remember wher I got it... :) later jb

Also, Steve & Rena (PoserWorld) made a proper Renaissance neck ruff and show it on both necks and wrists of a couple of different costumes. Cooler's Harlequin costume is perhaps most accurate for what you are doing with the jester. If you want a really floppy neck ruffle, such as worn by Poirrot and other clowns, I'm not sure where you'd look. Carolly

Any luck with the neck frill? I remember seeing (and using...and losing) a female figure called "Harlequin". Anybody remember this? It had a neck frill/ruff that was much fuller (no offense to Cooler). Thanks for the wonderful forums and such.

Go to the 3D Comic Collective. Click on the link I provided here. She's on that page.
