When attempting to install some of the recent downloads available here I get a message saying "Newer version than expected" or something like that. I then get a host of other error's and eventually whatever I was trying to load shows up with some erratic properties. For instance a Supergirl Model loads with half the figure being a dragon object. The Wall set just recently put up at funstuff shows up invisible after a bunch of error messages. Did I miss a Patch for Poser 4.0 or something?

Yup! And from what I gather you cannont get it any more since we are all here on tinter hooks awaiting the next patch. This should arrive in the next day or so if rumors are to be believed. Oops sorry. Most of us are on tinter hooks waiting but I just discovered SCARAB is waiting with baited breath. :P jje

Actually yes there was a beta patch for poser released it has been taken down and we are all awaiting news of the nonbeta or newer patch. There is a post about it on the front page. Newer image was created by beta patch users as to your other problems I can't really help you except to say for some reason sometimes Poser remembers part of the figure you did before(at least it has happened to me) Try closing down Poser and then opening it again, even restart your computer before reopening Poser then go straight to the model you had problems with. Apparently you can edit the .cr2 file to change the version number of a file. There is a string about it further down, a few days old. Open the .cr2 in a text editor and change the "4.1" back to "4". I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like a useful trick. I don't know anything about the half-dragon, unless you are referring to the disappearing legs problem with some of the integrated figures.... Turn off IK for the legs if that might be the problem.

Hydra. You will see that all the time with most of the new stuff, If clicking O.K., does'nt let it work, and you still get errors....Like..cannot open P4nudewmn/cloths/???/whatever obj./folder....Check and make sure your paths are EXACTLEY the way the download instruction say....Poser appears to be Capital sensitive....It's just a matter of getting them in the right folder,with the right names...ETC.... If it's something in particular...post it here AND somebody can help you get it installed correctly... As for the Wall,,Are you sure it was'nt looking for and did'nt load the texture's?????? I'm not a Poser/Jedi Master,,,but these are some of the problems I've had......
