Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 01 3:31 pm)
Just the Stephanie FBM, and when I turn that off, all that happens is that she gets thicker waisted, and small chested. The wierdness is still there. I managed to get it to look fine by doing it as a FBM, but I can't adjust it without starting over completely. Meaning that I can't say, ok, now the legs are done, and move to her butt...then her butt gets done, and I have to do that as a FBM as well. I activate that, and it multiplies everything, so I turn off the first FBM, but then her waist gets thick again. My PZ3 is doing wierd things too. I saved in one camera angle, in one document style, with my figure, plus a hair figure. I close down Poser, and reopen the file later on, and the camera angle has changed, the BG color has changed, the document style has gone from full textured to wireframe, and the hair figure has disappeared entirely. It's like an entirely different file, but all my magnets are still in place, and a;ll the important work is safe. It's the oddest thing. I saved the mags to the library to use on clothing. Maybe I should just restart my system and start over.
heyas; this will happen if you have magnets and some morphs turned on, and then spawn morphs. the turned on morphs will be added in with the magnet effects to create the new morph. then, when you turn off the magnets and turn on the morphs, the magnet affect is applied, plus the morphs that are already turned on, which multiplies THOSE. before you spawn a morph target, you have to make sure that each body part does not have any morphs turned on -- including anything slaved to fbm or pbm dials. otherwise, your magnet morphs will not be pure. what happens if you do your morphs and then turn that stephanie fbm to -1 or -3 or the opposite of whatever it is by default?
Momcat, then it is definitely the Steph fbm causing your troubles. You have to first set EVERY MORPH to zero, including fbm's when spawning a MT. Then once the new morph is spawned, switch the Steph fbm back on and then your new morph and everything will be OK. Don't worry about Steph looking odd and fat when the fbm is set to zero - this will not affect the end result of your new morph spawn. I get into this prob with Vicki on a regular basis, forgetting to turn off fbm's at least once a week while spawning MT's, so I'm very familiar with the problem. :) Best of luck :] FishNose
Momcat, a suggestion on the PZ3 prob - save your character as a CR2 instead, and save the lights as well. Then choose 'close' in File menu, without saving the scene. Now create a new clean scene from scratch. I mean literally new - choose new from the File menu. Then rebuild the scene as you wanted it using your CR2 and light setup. Save as a new PZ3 and try reloading, see if it's OK. I've had this happen too, a while back - never quite worked out what was wrong. Probably a tiny fault in the PZ3, like an empty line too many or some other seemingly irrelevant thing. :] FishNose
