I think it would be an outstanding tutorial and wholeheartedly think you should do it! Litst has a tutorial on the disk already for bevels so go see what he's done. It's on his web page and I'm sure he'll post the link for me since I don't have it on me at my current location this very instant. -Kix

I'll check out litst's stuff, no point in duplicating work; I'm far too lazy for that. The approach I'm thinking of is a "building block" approach. There are a couple of shapes I find myself making over and over in the vertex modeller that I use to make other shapes. It finally dawned on me I should make a building blocks file, instead of creating the figures by scratch every time.

I'd be curious to know how you did this, Terri =) There are two bevelling tuts on the CD if my memory's good . One is on my website (see the link), but doesn't show how to make rounded bevels like this . For rounded bevels, i've made a 10 minutes Viewlet (Viewlets are like the Quick Start of Carrara Studio) . I couldn't post it on my site because my webhost adds ads and Viewlets don't like when their html code is modified :( . But you can see it on the CD :)Hmmm, you can see the viewliet on the CD? I'll have to check on that. I can't remember putting viewlets on the disc specifically. It certainly didn't make it into the catelog as a "viewlet". Sorry Litst if I missed this one. If it was hooked into one of the web pages that you sent me then it did make it when I unzipped and installed that into the disc. Let me know if I got this right. -Kix

I don't believe I added any tutorials for you after I had the web page put up. I need to update this page but I don't recall adding more than one bevelling tutorial for you. I'll have to check out my materials tonight. -Kix-Kix

I've been experimenting with methods for making nice beveled edges in the vertex modeller, and have gotten a few good results.
My big success this weekend was finding the slick trick to making a beveled 3-Sided pyramid. Well, 4-sided, if you count the bottom. Oh, you know what I mean.
I was thinking about writing a "roll your own" bevels tutorial, if any of you guys think it would be useful.
