Anyone else running windows XP with NTFS and only able to get whole numbers on their dials in Poser pro pack? Ive tried the sensitivity setting (it only accepts whole numbers as well). Ive tried everything even going to curious labs and received no response. Wondered if I was just alone and theyre laughing at me or if anyone has found themselves kneedeep in this mess. Thanks Mister13 P.s. a quick response is needed as I am saving up money for a trip to crotch-punch Bill Gates over this if I cant get it working. P.P.S. Please note that even if you do want to see Gates crotch-punched it would hurt me as a person not knowing the solution to this problem.Thanks.

Go for the crotch punch...I run XP with FAT32 without that problem. FYI

I am running Windows XP and Pro Pak with NTFS and have not had that problem. I what I did need to do was reinstall the Metacreation Poser 4 with out patch then update with Poser Pro Pak...then Service Pak 3. The system is running great under XP except for being a memory hog.

I have the same setup but not your problem. This is way off the wall, but have you looked at your Regional Settings in the Control Panel?

Just curious - is it really not accepting the values, or just not displaying them?

I have not had the problem... and if there WAS one then the bug would be in Poser anyway. The file system should not have an effect on math rounding. I LIKE NTFS, I use the dynamic partitioning and disk striping. On top of all that it is much safer than Fat32 :)

ok here's what ive tried (re-installing) 3 times (both poser and pro). Im running NTFS under XP with a 60 GB Hard drive (dunno if it has anything to do with it. Regional settings smell ok. And it is neither displaying nor excepting anything except whole numbers.Service pack 3 isnt helping :(

I have Pro Pack, Windows XP and NTFS. I don't have your problem through. Does it affect all dials? Does it affect the scale/rotation dials?

my guess is that you have for a decimal delimiter "," (semicolon) instead of "." try changing this in your system prefs.

It maybe your graphics card...what is your graphics card? You may need to update your graphics card driver or call tech support. Graphics card always do such a strange things or try to use standard VGA driver and test it to see if you have that problem first.

Add me down as another XP, NTFS, ProPack user with no problems. Also, since you mentioned drive size, I have a 100GB drive.

For what it's worth, my laptop is using Windows 2000 Pro w/ NTFS and ProPack... I can manually enter my dial settings out to 5 decimal places without incident :) /P

PEBKAC eh? Thanks for the help wise a**. Doubt it, all I did was install the thing. Although I am curious and want to know more about the decimal delimiter . I am not sure where to look. I do appreciate the genuine help you guys have given me.

Sorry if I offended, but my thought was sincere. It's happened to me a few times where I tore my hair out over a problem...tried everything...only to find it was something simple I was overlooking. Like a new 21" monitor not working...then realizing I'd forgot to plug it in.
