I am new to Bryce and computer art altogether, this is the first decent looking pic I've come up with. I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks in advance.

dont use bryce classic terrains - its a dead give away - not bad for first attempt though

I'd soften the pikes a little using the terrain editor. Be welcome as a new member to the community of 3d art creators :)

Very nice job with the cove itself. I'd change the horizon so that it isn't cutting straight through the middle of the scene. Someone else who's new to Bryce recently asked for a critique. There were some great responses that would generally apply. Take a look through the threads for the last week, and I think you'll find it. Welcome here from someone else who's only one or two steps ahead of you.

I love the colours and the cove but the terrain could use a bit of editing, Keep playing, I promise you you'll get hooked. Plenty of help available on this site.

Stringburner6, I agree with a lot of the comments above, especially with regards to the "default type' terrains, but let me say that you have a great artistic eye. The scene definitely captures a moment and feeling and that is hard to teach...great job! The rest is just experience with Bryce and playing around...you're off to a great start and I can't wait to see more of your work! Chris (Bryce newbie) PS: Welcome to a great group

Try tinkering with your sun controls in the Sky Lab. You can adjust the bearing and azimuth to an almost infinite degree, so it's just peeking over the horizon... this is a great pic! Peter Sharpe has a great little Sun and Moon tutorial on his website, petersharpe.com
