Did about 10-11 hours on this, another bad hair day, my eyes start to fall out of my head after about this much time on the computer! Anyway, I thought I'd start a new thread, the other was getting pretty buried, this is my slowly-getting-there Las Vegas Hair set. Now up to 107 curls, (every one different!), about 24,000 polygons. I did a lot of work curling the ends, and I finally got the right (her right) side figured out, I think- how the sideburns are going to fit into the rest. This is dial position 2 on what I'm going to call the Multi-Earring set, which will be included. I was unable to get them both to work off unpaired OBJs, so you have to turn the dial on each earring, times are tough! The earrings can sway left and right, forward and back though- they a conforming figure, of course.

Finally, hair that looks like mine does 15 minutes after I comb it. In other words, how it looks most of the time. LOL

Looks great! Kind of a high poly count. My only gripe would be where the hair meets the scalp. Maybe this mixed with some kind of scalp cap transmap would work. I know I've been harsh about high poly count hair in the past but if it does look good then so be it.

Thank guys & gals! After some more work here it is as a blonde again. I removed dome of the curls that were hidden and the poly count i sdown to about 22,000 again, which leave me aome headroom for the "wild hairs" that arn't put in yet. This is earring type 3, incidently. I also added the collars to the hair figure, they are children of the neck (all the mesh is in the neck part), but they work and conform, should save a lot of morphs, I'll have to update the San Francisco hir this way too. Anyway, just needs the wild hairs and I'm going to call it quit. I think it is going to finish out at about 25,000 polygons and 110 curls or so. Renders in about a minute (1000 x 800 or so render), on my computer which is somewhat faster than most. I'm still playing with the transmaps, I think I can soften that hard hairline a bit.

great job! I will definately buy this when it comes out.. i got most of your other stuff and its all top-notch. One thing with hair that bugs me is where it meets the scalp is always too harsh... anyway to soften that part up -- some prop or separate piece that will fade the hair into scalp a little smoother ?? in anycase.. good work
