I just read the thread from Curious Labs yahoo group..and there was mention of April 1 release date. Also the Poser 4 Demo has been retired on CL website.

Oh, It comes out at April 1. But not this year. ;)

They didn't actually get rid of their Poser 4 demo. they changed it to a combined Poser 4/ pro-pack demo.

are you sure that date wasn't for mimic for mac? That is supposed to be out now.

I don't hold my breath on the release of Poser 5. It'll happen, but I'm not anxiously awaiting for it. When it gets here, it'll get here, but past history on these things has taught me not to get too anxious waiting for upgrades. If it happens this year at all, it'll probably be later, maybe around the holidays. I've seen a lot of these things released around the holidays because they know people will put out a lot of money at that time of year. I just want them to make sure it's good and functional before they release it. If they let it out too soon, before the bugs are fixed, people will holler about all the glitches. I don't know about Melanie but my face is turning Purple and my eyes are starting to buldge! ! ! is it April 1st yet?? ;-P

I'm going to wait till it's already been out for several months before I even think about getting it. Wait and see what everyone says about it, good and bad. Then see how much an upgrade costs, test-drive the demo a nd decide if it's worth the cost to upgrade. (besides, I still haven't got Poser 4 figured out completely yet...
