Subject: Vicki's Clothes on Stephanie- A growing and common mistake.

PheonixRising ( ) posted Fri, 29 March 2002 at 10:36 PM · edited Thu, 23 January 2025 at 8:33 AM

Defailt Stephanie's stomach is smaller than Vicki's only due to her Full Body Morph. That is why the waistline on Vicki clothes are bigger than her is some renders. Just select Stephanie's body and turn her full body morph to zero. I just got a pretty nasty email from someone who wasn't aware that Stephanie has a full body morph that is set to 1.0 when you load her. To make her truely fit Vicki's clothes you have to set the Stephanie body morph to to zero. Wow, people can be real vicious when they are unaware and frustrated. :) I remember buying the Creeper years ago and freaking out on Daz because it took forever to looad. What an ass I made of myself. :) I apologized. Frustration can lead to some crazy behaviour. Anton

I have also noticed this often, and I'm starting to think that some people actually like the look of standard Steph with Vicki clothes. Who knows!! :) Aaron

I dunno, I picked up The Tailor and am still trying to figure it out, was hoping to be able to get rid of the "standard vicki" body type with using that and vicki clothing...but I'm at a loss on how to work the program...still trying to figure THAT out (but that's another thread all together)

Well, let's be honest... how many renders are there where the clothes actually DO fit right? I see a lot of them, especially with armor, where the leg straps or arm straps are hovering in mid air. So maybe they just think its the usualy problem of cloths not fitting? :) Me I am using the Tailor to build the Steph morphn into the stuff I use on her.

Vendors should make a notice in the product preview to solve such problems. I saw in the marketplace some products with full body morph for Stephanie. (Billy-Ts Spangly Set, RuntimeDNA Assassins). Unfortunately Antons Spywear is not compatible with theTailor (changing geometry). I hope Anton and CodeTwister solve this problem together. Mazak

To be true, i first tried to fit the spyware clothes to fit steph, before i used Stephs bodymorph and reset it to zero. I was afraid she would turn in micheal :-))

I'm kinda mystified as to what DAZ did to turn Mike into Steph - but I don't think I'd understand it anyways :) I'm just enjoying the fact that I don't have to convert my 15 Mike textures to Vik. I just have to remember to turn the headmorph OFF when spawning morphs for hir. Did anyone else think it weird that spyware and assasins came out the same week? :) Lyrra

While the spywear isn't TOTALLY tailor compatible, I have had some good results with it as long as I ignpore the "changing" part. The image above is the spywear on Stephanie, with Steph's FBM >ON< and the matching morphs in the Spywear by the tailor.

Hi there, Vendors can only provide so much information. Users do need to have some understanding of the figures they work with. :) Mazak, please don't state for a fact that my Spywear is not compatible with Tailor. I will contact Codetwister and ask about changing geom. If you can make morphs considering Mikes hip you can do it here. I am sure there is a way. We just need to figure it out. :) Lyrra, I thought it was strange too, but Oh well. I guess there is only so much clothing ideas and Matrix styles have been lacking. Another case of similiar thoughts. The two Packages are luckily very different but look great together. Anton
