Subject: how do I get vaginal area to show up on my females? And how do I zoom?

I was wondering how do you get the vaginal area and pubic hair to show up on my female characters? All of the females that are in the poser library are completely smooth with nothing showing and I want them to have something to show. Also how do I zoom in on my people so that I can check on the details and make improvements and changes as needed?

on the leftside of you screen are the cameracontrols,a trackball to turn and arrows to move forward and backward.

No Poser female figure comes out of the box - equipped for this. Pubic fur, you either paint on the texture - most textures come with it anyway or use a prop and texture/transmap it. There are several. Only Vic comes with anything like enough verts to represent female genitalia using morphs and texturing the morphed area required additional alterations. Essentially all of the female figures have versions with props to accomplish your goal. All have free versions, some have commercial versions. I would advise that you look up the anatomical part that you asked about. It is usually only visible to a GYN. You may also be stoned by the psychologically scared and crippled for even wanting this.

You may also be stoned by the psychologically scared and crippled for even wanting this. Or you may find yourself the source of infinite amusement. It's really your call.

Eve has excellent detail, check out Traveler's site for props too and www.1st-shock.com for what's possible....

Ouch! 'Look up' does have more than one meaning, doesn't it? I thought our resident 700 Club'er would show up.

VirtualSite ( ) posted Sat, 06 April 2002 at 4:27 PM

We only have one?

Legume ( ) posted Sat, 06 April 2002 at 4:51 PM

"I was wondering how do you get the vaginal area and pubic hair to show up on my female characters?" Good thing you specified your FEMALE characters ;) Next week: "Where can I find a vagina for the Poser horse?"

Mosca ( ) posted Sat, 06 April 2002 at 5:14 PM

Have you tried looking under its tail?

Legume ( ) posted Sat, 06 April 2002 at 5:18 PM

Is that where a horse's vagina is located? DAMN. And here I thought it was in East Orange, NJ...

Gudkarma ( ) posted Sat, 06 April 2002 at 6:25 PM

no, its further south in new brunswick where i live!

gg77 ( ) posted Sat, 06 April 2002 at 8:44 PM

I wonder if Legume can help us with a vagina for rabbits? a la Madame Fluffers! LOL

Lyrra ( ) posted Sun, 07 April 2002 at 8:30 PM

I thought this subject line was a troll at first! :) I think we should gently point him to Renderotica or Thralldom , where people won't make fun of him for wanting to see digital pink parts :) As it is the answer would be Eve - she has replacment hip geometry that has the bits I suspect you are actually interested in. I think Arduino's Vicky with genitals or Tiziana would be worth looking into. Search Arduino in the marketplace.

VirtualSite ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 12:30 AM

I think Arduino's Vicky with genitals or Tiziana would be worth looking into I am NOT touching that line................

saxon ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 3:50 AM

Lyrra, I agree with your sentiments. However, I think it would be a shame if Renderosity retreated to the moral high ground completely, that's a very bland place. The humour of the thread has been amusing but, does it reflect a dumbing down? Will we degenerate into the flame wars and xenophobia displayed on many news groups? I hope not. I notice the guy's gone, so I've either just lost a competitor or a peer....

BellaMorte ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 4:01 AM

The free section here has both the p4nwwgv2 and p4nwwgv2b You need the first one to make the second one work. she is a fairly good model for just a posette. B*tch to to texture maps for but good none the least. ROFL You guys are just too funny :)

Through my browsings, I found this site and it has an addon for Vickie with genitals.

BellaMorte ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 7:25 AM

I'm a bit slow at time, I have just read your post saxon. I agree. As much as I found the comments amusing, what is wrong with wanting to be graphically correct?! I'm just a beginner female but I want both my male and female models to be graphically correct whether you see the area or not. Only Man (generically speaking, not gender) is responsible for nidity being classified as wrong.

VirtualSite ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 9:31 AM

As much as I found the comments amusing, what is wrong with wanting to be graphically correct?! Nothing at all. But when it becomes as much an obsession as T&A appears to be around this place, tell me the point of it. We can howl and scream "But it's art, dammit!" all we want, but you know it as well as I that most times around here art has little to do with it. So let's not pretend otherwise, okay? Now, having said that, if anyone wants to do page after page of naked women, go for it. Knock yourself out and clog the galleries all you wish. But bear in mind one small detail: it's getting boring. It's no longer art in there, if indeed it ever was. It's a display of fevered, over-wrought hormones in overdrive, and we all tolerate it because of this specious claim of "art" bandied about like the concept of "food" at McDonalds. And if life is so desperate that your non-existant sex life has to be put in display with women you feel you can never, ever have, then maybe it's time to turn the computer off and head out into the real world for a night or two. Otherwise, twenty years from now, you're gonna still be doing images of Vicky in lingerie and thinking it's true love because you bought her something special in the Marketplace. Your choice.

BellaMorte ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 10:00 AM

I see your point and agree with it, believe it or not. I am now going to go and enjoy the night sky with my husband :) Night :)

saxon ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 4:47 PM

In my animations I strive for perfection, I try to attain reality. I do that because it pleases me. The fact that it also pleases my subscribers is a bonus, a serendipity. My attempts at recreating reality requires the use of graphically detailed models of the two most pleasing forms on the planet. Images of the naked female and male form have inspired and pleased the entire human race for millennia. I suggest that some members here are the ones who are out of step even with the use of the royal 'we'. I really don't care whether what I do is considered art or not, it pleases me when it's good.

Jeez, I go away for a weekend and look what I come back to. I wish I could have gotten into this one earlier. Hey I know, lets just post links to the threads where we've hashed this stuff out time and time again. That way we don't have to go to all the trouble of thinking. I'll start. We got really bitchy with this one; I'm afraid we got it locked. I even got my image yanked (it was the last post that got the thread locked. Pretty good, huh?. VS, I think this one happened while you were away, I can't see you missing out on this, but you're not in the melee. (P.S. 6Dprime and I have patched it up since then.)

BellaMorte ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 5:32 PM

Well. I've had my say. I know my views. Next time I will just post to the original qeustion/comment at the top.

VirtualSite ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 5:32 PM

the use of graphically detailed models of the two most pleasing forms on the planet Oh, c'mon, spare me the "we are all so beautiful" line. That's true only in the rarest of exceptions; by and large humankind is pretty droll to look at without clothing. Most of them are walking cannisters at best. Now, if you're going for perfection, I'm sure that delights a lot of people. But a constant diet of virtual perfection can lead one to assuming all women should be supermodels. Just ain't so. I really don't care whether what I do is considered art or not, it pleases me when it's good And that is a far healthier attitude to take.

VirtualSite ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 5:44 PM

Hey, Hiram, loved the thread! Thanks for the laugh (especially no. 23)! No, I was around when it was going on; I just chose to ignore that particular one. I found the whole concept of Stephanie to be a bit of a ripoff, truth be told, until Duane Moody explained why it was such a good idea. But it just gets so laughable some times. "It's art, really! I swear it is, honest!" Oh right, sure it is, and I'm appearing on the cover of GQ next month. I have no doubt that there are some really good nude studies out there (Hell, I have three in the my own gallery if anyone's interested, and that's not including the bait-and-switch thumbnail), and I have no question that erotica can't be art on occasion, but, as Hiram very wittily points out, let's not kid ourselves, gang. In fact, a little honesty on the subject might be breathtakingly welcome.

Hiram ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 5:48 PM

Okay, this isn't meant to be flame bait so I pray it won't be taken that way. There are lots of different kinds of "art." Some of it is "fine art," which is what we usually mean when we ask "Is It Art?" Some of it is popular art, some of it is simply illustration of varying degrees of realism or aesthetic value. Erotic art can fall into any of those categories. The vast majority of what we find in the Poser gallery (my stuff included) is simply illustration. While there's some truly beautiful work in the galleries, I'm still trying to decide whether I think its possible to do fine art in Poser.

VirtualSite ( ) posted Mon, 08 April 2002 at 5:54 PM

One of the toughest things to get people to discuss with any degree of honesty in this place is that messy little concept called "art". We seem to rush to embrace everything as art, even when we know (and aren't willing to admit) that there are some things that just ain't. But that's another thread for another inevitable time. ;)

Dr Zik ( ) posted Wed, 10 April 2002 at 3:54 PM

Hi Folks! curtskinn, one of the most versatile pubic hair props I've discovered is a creation by Tom/Alchemy art. I don't know how he did it, but the prop actually renders as individual strands of hair. With a bit of tinkering the realism you can achieve can be quite impressive. He has a version for the Poser Male and Female figuires, and they can be used interchangeably on Vicki, Michael, Eve, etc. You can find it at the Renderotica store. Peter (Dr Zik)

Dr Zik ( ) posted Wed, 10 April 2002 at 3:59 PM

Hi Folks! Oh, and on your original question: Eve4 and her fraternal twin sister Azura (both still available from Traveller's Morphworld, I believe) have the most versatile vaginal morphs of any Poser characters I've seem so far. Or go with Jaeger's Millie morphs for Vicki (you're being too modest, Jaeger!) Peter (Dr Zik)
