This is already probably been covered but.... Most of the free stuff is P4 characters tex ect.. can I use this in P3? I tried to load some and I get actor13 error or if it loads it is huge like a macy day parade float. Cant afford p4 yet. Help please!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks

I know you can't use P4 textures for P3 models unless you remap them yourself and I don't even know how to do that yet...The two are mapped differently... I still have Poser 3 but never use it, instead I stay in Poser 4... Only problems I've had is when I moved some of my P3 models over to my P4 and got some crazy funky stuff happen... What kind of stuff are you bring in that comes in like a huge Macy Day Parade? Are they P4 characters or are they meshes in obj, 3ds or some other format?.. Sounds like you need to scale them down if their coming in too big... Maybe I'm reading you wrong .. You'll have to clarify more... ~Cindy

Thanks for reply Cindy. What I did was got a p4 charater from freestuff and the only way I could get it to load was to create a folder called p4nude woman and copy and rename the p3 geometry into it so the character would have a reference .The characters look for the P4 geometry I guess whew! Is there a easier way to do this? I wont be able to pick up P4 program for a while. Again thanks for the help

Glennjan, You can't use P4 Charactors in P3 ... I don't think there is a work around for that unless you have both P3 & P4...If there is I'd like to know myself..lol Your correct about the geometry and espcially if the P4 Charactor is wearing cloths that are P4 cloths..P4 Cloths are charactors too and have their own geometry...I'm sorry I can't help you on this one Glennjan...I hope you can gather up your pennies and buy Poser 4 upgrade soon...=) ~Cindy
