Subject: Peek-A-Boo! (DANGER: extreme cuteness!)
The seal appears to have a Mohican haircut. I assume that's unintentional and it's just a hunk of snow behind its head. If so, I'd suggest moving it to one side. If it really is meant to be a Mohican haircut, then it's all too deep and meaningful for me. Apart from that, very cute and nice work. Maz
heyas; thanks! i wasnt going to put the steaming breath in this one, since i did it on the last two pics... but i'll see how it looks. maz: that's the polar bear cub, and that thing on his head is supposed to be a layer of snow that he just popped up out of. i think the pile behind him needs to be smaller, too... more white around the musk ox's eye.... oh! i also wanted to mention, for debbie and whoever got the musk ox; if you change the head's twist jp's so the green end is way back in the neck, near the red end, the head will twist without distorting the ears/horns.
Hi bloodsong, OK I can see what you intended now but I don't find it convincing as a lump of snow on his head. Unfortunately I'm not sure what to suggest to make it look better. Maybe a few smaller bits on his head in the process of breaking up with bits dropping off? I think maybe the problem is that the under surface of the ice/snow would have been flat and if it were to take on that curved shape on his head it would break into two with a V shaped gap between them.
heya; you're right, maz, it needs... something. i wanted the sides to be kinda darker/bluer, but they didnt turn out that way. a split or crack sounds good. still working on it. bongo: i put the golden pear image in the gallery, and i think that's enough. i'm subtle in my 'vue agenda' ;) also, didn't know 'people.delphi.com' was a friday the 13th movie.... ;) sprout: no prob! the neck center can be raised up higher, too, if you have problems bending the neck and it crashes into the chest, especially up at the shoulder.

the tongue is a bit much, don'tcha think? debbie's musk ox and dedicated digital's polar bear cub. rendered in vue. (the show on the cub's head is made in ray dream, though.) how's the composition and lighting on this one? i can still fiddle with it some more.... ;)
