Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 09 1:04 pm)
Yep there is an easy way. There are a few utilities out there that can create this. That is the MAT MOR Pose thing in the free section. Can't remember who wrote it but I am sure you can search there for software or MAT. Also, just recently my Poser Wizard went public in the marketplace. Within it's frame work is a MAT MOR wizard that will create these files from a saved CR2.
well yeah. It is pretty simple like that, but think about this. Every Mike character or Vicky Character you save in this fashion will require nearly 30 megs of disk space. Compare that to about 100-300KB for the same figure as a MOR pose file. That's the beauty of these pose files, saves on disk space big time.
You won't have the hair and props attached in a standard pz2. Remember it is a pose file after all. You could try adding them back into the resukting file, but there is no telling what the character will actually be numbered so getting the hair or prop pareted correctly may not work. Now for the other question. Let's say you have your MOR file created and apply it to your Vicky in poser. The morphs will be set to duplicate the character you saved. Now Morphs can actually be set as defaults or not. What this basically means, if you restore the figure then you rmorph settings will be lost unless the defaults for those dials are also changed.

well I do have an explaination of the CR2 format at my site. Go to Portals-tutorials. You will find the CR2 Autopsy listed there in four parts. The Autopsy will be updated sometime in the future but I don't have a time table for this as yet. Basically the need for the update is due to the fact that I will expand this to cover all poser files. Every Poser file follows the same exact format, but the explaination given is specfic to CR2. MOR and MAT files are really just pose files but contain only material and morph listings. Pose files are a subset of CR2 files which in turn are a subset of the Poser PZ3 file format. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
