The demo is now available at http://innuendo.ev.ca/downloads.htm Right now the installation consistes of a ZIP file that should be extracted (with path names intact) anywhere you wish. An automatic installer is coming soon. Konan p.s. I designed this baby as a pure OpenGL application (including the interface), so it will be easy to convert to the Macintosh. Everything is ready to go on the Mac OS X side, but I want to wait for dust to settle with the PC version first.Attached Link: http://innuendo.ev.ca/downloads.htm
The auto-installation package is now available. I'll post it in the free stuff section after a day or two. I just want to make sure everything is kool before doing so. http://innuendo.ev.ca/downloads.htmI tried the demo. Looks pretty good. I have question though. Is it only the demo where the cursor blinks rapidly for an extended time before you can do anything? Everything I tried, it would take a real long tim to do it. Almost like a delay loop for demo purposes. If not a demo limitation, I would have to pass on this. Otherwise, it looks easy to use.
Konan As Always you did a great aplication, I have tested the demo and had not problems at all, maybe is a Jcleaver PC configuration problem, I tested it an Athlon 1.5 GHZ, 1.5 GB RAM, and PII 300 mhz with 192MB RAM it ran well on both pcs The PII was complaining a little bit, but not big time delays. Maybe Jc's problem is an open gl one. Best Regardings Virus
SAL9000 - Hello Dr. Chandra, Will I've dream?
There is no "demo pausing" in the program so it is most likely the OpenGL. OpenGL acceleration is highly recommended. The program is brand new and is bound to have a few quirks in it. It has been extensively tested and works well under normal circumstances. Generally speaking, a PIII cpu and a video card with some form of OpenGL acceleration is recommended. Konan p.s. Tutorials are coming tomorrow. I'll be spending the entire work day on them. As for tonnight, I'm gonna kick back and get some rest.
Well, I was a bit skeptical, becuase I usually do all my morphing in Lightwave and use no outside programs. But after playing with the demo for a bit, I have to say this is actually a really neat program. It has some of the nicest mesh smoothing abilities I've seen. Just one little nitpick however. I don't see a symmetry painting option anywhere, which would really make the program that much better. Just a suggestion. Now if I could only convince you to make it into a native Lightwave plugin, where I am sure you'd sell a ton. =)
Hey MallenLane, Symmetry painting can be achieved by clicking on the "Advanced" button in the brush's panel. Hey Martial and Jcleaver, Please contact me at konan@sympatico.ca. I'll figure out what the problem is on your side. I can send you a special build of the program that will tell me exactly where the error is occuring. Then I should be able to diagnose the problem. Please include in your email your exact system specifications.

The first tutorial is up and running at http://innuendo.ev.ca/extreme_morph_3d_tutorial_01.htm Please forgive me if there are any grammatical errors as it is the first draft. I will be posting at least one more tutorial today that shows how to use EM3D with Poser characters (tips and tricks). KonanAttached Link: http://innuendo.ev.ca/extreme_morph_3d_help.htm
The second tutorial is up (and mostly complete). This one shows you how to make the Poser 4 dork into a cave man. Check it out http://innuendo.ev.ca/extreme_morph_3d_help.htm KonanMy computer may be too slow for this program my cursor constantly blinks and the software response while navigating seems to be extremely slow. The interface refreshes constantly. The Open GL seems fine though. I did both tutorials and manipulating the model (both sphere and face in tutorial 2) was responsive enough to work while moving vertices and painting. My main problem is while navigating and selecting commands the whole interface refreshes twice and the cursor keeps blinking for awhile until the menu finally updates. My system: Dell Workstation Precision 410 Dual PII 400MHZ 384 MB of RAM Windows 2000 Elsa Synergy I 8MB of RAM (Permedia 2)
I'm sure Konan will find the culprit. I am actually glad I'm not the only one with the problem. Konan has already gotten in touch with me to try to fix the problem. He is very responsive, and I have already sent him some test info for him to look into. I tried this at work also with the same problems. I am running XP Pro, and my work computer is Win2000. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a Win98 machine to try this on.
I found the problem on my end anyway. The ATI drivers that come from Microsoft do not support OpenGL. Even though everything worked, I had the problem of the flashing cursor. I upgraded the video drivers and voila!, problem went away. Mitch -- you might check to make sure you have the latest video driver. As I said, that was my problem, and my symptoms were exactly the same as yours.
Hey Mitch, The deal is that the interface itself is completely done in OpenGL. I assumed that just about everyone had a video card that supports OpenGL. Tell you what, send me an email at konan@sympatico.ca and I will return your email with a special build of the Extreme Morph 3D demo that does not use textures in the interface. This may be the cause of your slowdown, and a tetxureless interface may solve your problems. If so, I will enable an option to turn them on and off at at will, and perhaps "auto detect" a slow refresh and offer to turn them off automatically. Konan

Hey Ratteler, Screen shots are in tutorials. Follow the link and click on the (screen shot)links for each step of the tutorial. Hey Everyone, I just added the feature to turn off the textures if your system is a little on the slow side with regards to OpenGL. As Jcleaver mentioned, some people may have an OpenGL accelerated video card, but are using MS drivers which do not take advantage of the GL. The reason why this affected Extreme Morph 3D more than a typical OpenGL application is that the interface is entirely done in OpenGL. In this way, I can easily port the program to the Macintosh, or whatever OS I wish (Linux, etc.). I will be posting the new demo ASAP. Konan p.s. I am very excited about this program and I will be updating it and adding new features frequently. Feel free to send me your wishes. My first wish would be a way to save selections (areas that have been painted.). There should be also a way to save work in progress. If I'm morphing an OBJ and I have to interrupt my work right now I'll have to save the file as an OBJ. It would be nice to have a file that would save the work session and it would be even better if it could save a history like 3DS MAX does with its transformers so in case I want to go back to a previous stage of my work I can do that. Mitch

Just letting you know there is an update available. One of the changes is that it now works with the ATI Radeon drivers (caused a crash on startup before). Read the other details by following the link.Konan

Hey Everyone, Extreme Morph 3D is now available. The demo will be posted in about an hour or two. You can read all about it at.. http://innuendo.ev.ca Simply put, to create a morph target, you can "paint" the selected area directly on the model. The selection can be smooth (to create an organic morph) or hard to create a rigid feature. You then select one of the transformation tools, click on the viewport drag the mouse to morph the object. Repeat as necessary until your morph is complete and export the OBJ files. Please bear with me as the help files are not complete. I will be working all evening getting them up to speed. Konan p.s. The smiley guy in the picture is me :)
