Yup, EXCELLENT execution of glossy floor, tinted glass/mirror, and window in the background.

exellent use of darkness to add mystery. from post above you can tell the importance of leaving something to the imagination. in full light we might have been nitpicking at the pose etc. the sun peeking through is a nice touch. but since you probably want some criticism here's mine. I can't put my finger on it but the way the sunlight ends suddenly on the right and bottom seems odd. "exellent" - as stated by "Monty Burns" on "The Simpsons" -o.k. BYE
mouse, I agree... I think it was due to the placement of the light and the bars in the window, but try as I might I couldn't find any other arrangement that highlighted the dancer the way I wanted, so I left it alone... or I'd have been fiddling with it forever. Thanks all for the encouraging comments. Ya'll just ensured that there will be more to follow. :o)

Hi, ya'll. Another newbie, here. Well, sort of. I got Bryce 4 about two years ago as a gift from my brother who used to work for metacreations, in addition to Carrera, Poser, Canoma, and Painter. Though I haven't had the time that I would like to hone my techniques, I feel like I have produced some pretty good pieces. However, due to a little over-exuberance, many of the free models that I have downloaded from various sites never got labelled as to the artist/modeller and site they came from. Therefore, I have been understandably reluctant to post any of the images I created on this site, and others. I'm in the process of correcting this oversight, but it's rather tedious and am thinking of just deleting everything and starting all over. Anyway... I read a post by Melanie on the Challenge Arena that fit right in with this image I've been working on, and as luck would have it, the work is completely mine (well, almost). So here is my first post to the Bryce forum. This was rendered in Bryce, with a little post-work in Painter 6. The dancer, of course, is just one of the P4 women, textured in Bryce. Chair and crates are models off of the Bryce CD. If you recognize your stage lamp, let me know. It was left at my place without a name on it after a download party that got out of hand. ;o) Can't remember where the brick texture came from originally, but like all all the other materials in the image, I've tweaked it around a little, so I feel safe using it. Sorta. Now for the question... how does one get images posted in the gallery? I'm sure I've missed this somewhere and will feel like an idiot when I get the answer. I'd like to post this image in reply to Melanie's challenge... and I've never seen anyone post an image in that forum, as they do in this one. Only links to the gallery. Any and all comments and critiques are welcome.
