can anyone tell me, or direct me to a tutorial, about creating altitude and slope sensitive materials in bryce? the supplied textures are great, but I want to do something more. I'm currently going through the manual again, but I figured I'd ask just in case someone had created a tutorial on this that I didn't know about. They're usually soooo much easier to follow than the manual.

My suggestion would be to get "Real World Bryce 4" which is a great book and goes into the DTE in great detail. You can find it at amazon.com.

can i refer the right honourable member to the answer given some moments ago (english joke if your american)and also just pick a terrain with an altitude element and dismantle it to see how it works

This is roundabout, but, go to Brycetech. Go to Tutorials. In there somewhere is a tut on making a "Wet Rock" texture.

If you can find this tut, you'll have a good go at making altitude affected textures.

thanks sipapu i didnt know that. i assumed what george sais goes. and secondly what the hell does LOL mean, iv seen it so many times and always been afraid to ask
