THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: another terrain texture question

can anyone tell me, or direct me to a tutorial, about creating altitude and slope sensitive materials in bryce? the supplied textures are great, but I want to do something more. I'm currently going through the manual again, but I figured I'd ask just in case someone had created a tutorial on this that I didn't know about. They're usually soooo much easier to follow than the manual.

My suggestion would be to get "Real World Bryce 4" which is a great book and goes into the DTE in great detail. You can find it at amazon.com.

can i refer the right honourable member to the answer given some moments ago (english joke if your american)and also just pick a terrain with an altitude element and dismantle it to see how it works

This is roundabout, but, go to Brycetech. Go to Tutorials. In there somewhere is a tut on making a "Wet Rock" texture.

If you can find this tut, you'll have a good go at making altitude affected textures.

Wish I could be of more help, but I'm Brain Dead.

LOL, airflamesred! I'm an Amurrican, but it might or might not interest you to know that our own lawmakers use the same formal gibberish. Guess where we got it?

Not to worry, it doesn't mean Lots of Love, which I once thought. It stands for Laughing out Loud. ;-) The link goes to a short list of some of the common acronyms and abbreviations used on the net. :-)
