Just terrific. The waves are wonderful--great job. I see what they are saying about the rope. The 'bands' of the twisted rope should be at an angle to represent 'rope'. This looks too much like the texture is 'on top'. Minor detail, though G. Its such a wonderful image I hate to say anything--especially when I certainly can't do as good. Diane B
I agree that the rope looks flat - it didn't before I made the last lighting change (where I was paying attention to the shadows on the sail bump-maps), but with this long a render time - it is what it is. ;) I've been working with the Zygote Galleon all month, texturing it and all, and I've got all kinds of ideas about how to use it in scenes, so in later scenes (like closer shots) I'll pay more attention to ALL the details. ;) Thanks everyone. Noel
I saw a rope obj. somewhere on a geocities site. a couple in fact. But lord, they were like 2 megs each, and the rope wasn't worth the downloading time to me. But it was for a neat looking hanging bridge, so I did think about it. I'd still like to know where everyone is getting this damn ship model lol
Talent is God's gift to you. Using it is your gift to God.
Its on the Zygote 101 Models for Bryce CD available, I guess, still from Zygote. Very good group of models. I originally bought it primarily for the furniture which I had been making by boolean methods, but these were much more esthetically pleasing than I could build that way. Also, lots and lots of other things. Diane B

Bryce4, Zygote Galley, flag from 3D Cafe. Eleven and a half hours rendering time with 'Fine Art' anti-aliasing. Six terrains for the water, two latices for the wake in front of the ship. Enjoy, Noel
