Not much really. Some people say that the treelab and the poser-import functions will be improved. I've heard people say that NURBS are going to be introduced in Bryce 6 too. But these are only rumours and are not the least bit certain. It would be fun to make a list of improvements we 'Renderosity-Brycers' would like to see in Bryce 6 though. Maybe we could send a nice list of suggestions to Corel.

Give 'em a break! Bryce 5 has hardly cooled down yet.

Bryce 5 sucks without animation import function. Corel better include it in Bryce 6 or give us free update for that function. We spent too much $$ on non-workable bryce program for years. Bryce 5 have no sense and its not worth to buy it. Corel will lose in Bryce business just like MetaCreation did, if they think they will make good business if they include that function in Bryce 7 version(I hope they will not do that). As you know MetaCreation lost Bryce because of their bullshit with bryce functions and they never provided import animation functions. Every other 3d program include that type of function to make the animation scene to work. It would be no excuse for Corel if they dont include it in next version of Bryce 6. Boyscott Bryce5 and return it back to Corel. Tell them your wish list that you expected them to include in version of Bryce 5 or 6. Test Bryce 6 before you buy. If Corel still won't provide that function then don't buy it and boyscott it!! Be with us as customer team. Waldoo

Waldo (o?), Not to be as unpleasent as you, but this would appear to be a wholely innapropriate use of this forum. If you have problems with Bryce 5 then you may give said problems a voice here, but if you would like any of us to take you seriously, you should try making a reasoned arguement. I find your remarks as they currently stand to be baseless and inflamatory. I found the upgrades offerred by Corel in Bryce 5 to be lacking, but not unworthy of the price. The only comparable renderer/modeller/animator in this price range is, IIRC, Vue D'Esprit. I find the quality of their renders to be lacking and if you would like plants, you need to fork out another $100. It is nescessary, when a product is bought from another company, to rush development of the first release so that that product will not lose momentum. Take a step back, and a deep breath, and if you sill believe Bryce 5 to be unworthy of your hard earned dollar, don't buy it. Vue is offerring a side-grade deal for Bryce 4 owners. Also, the word is boycott. Something which few of us could participate in at this point, as we already own the program. Sorry to all others for even replying to the above comments.

Yes I know about my remarks in my last message. But its no excuse for Corel not to include animation import function in Bryce 5 PERIOD!! Speak out for ourselves as customer. Only great about Bryce 5 is the little Tree Lab toy and metaball those were developed by MetaCreation when they included it in Carrara. Corel is lazy ass when they released Bryce 5 without essential features like animation import function. No need to try reasonable arguement for this type of situation. Many of us thought that Bryce 5 would have included the animation import function and we immediately bought it from Corel (a new home for Bryce). You know many software retailers and vendors already set non-returnable policy for opened software. It is intolerable when a manufacturer released non-workable program to us and steal $$ from us. That is why I am asking everyone to join boyscot club and bother Corel to take our Bryce 5 back. And I hope someone from Corel read this message and alert to their dept about this problem and hopefully they will send us the update to keep the customers in bryce environment. Waldoo

Waldoo, Have you ever tried to figure out a large program like Bryce and enhance it? I think you underestimate the effort it takes to program a new version of software wich was orriginallt programmed by someone else. OK, I'm not a very goood programmer, but I can read and understand a few of the often used laquages like Delphi and C++ and I know it's very difficult to search for a specific bit of code in a program made by someone else, so altering it or adding new functionality is difficult and takes some time. Also, Bryce 5 is worth it's money if you ask me. The lightlab, he treelab and the metaballs are great, they have their rough edges, but that can be fixed in version 6. I agree that animation-functions are virtually non-existant and I do agree that Corel needs to do something about that, but I don't think many people will boycott bryce.
