Harsh, eh? Let me start out that it looks pretty good already. However (you knew that was coming), There are a few things I would do if I were you. 1. The lady's shadow. The only thing I've ever seen put out a shadow that deep and that hard is arclight. You need to lighten and soften it. 2. The light color. Too white. Makes the scene look like it's lit by florescent lights. Remember, light color sets the mood. 3. Where is the light that's creating the highlight on the right side of the alter coming from? Nothing else seems affected by it and it casts no shadows. 4. It's hard to tell she's looking at the crystal ball. Point the eyes down a little more and increase the blink. Enough for now. Love to see the finished product. SMT
I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!
Okay, first up: that is one excellent picture. I agree with smallspace (and the others) about the shadow. It's far too harsh and dark. Also, the lighting is too white - try softening it towards yellow. When you add the other elements, it's going to change the picture's tonal quality again so you will (probably) have to rework some of the lighting/shadow again. I've also just noticed, the candle's light doesn't seem to be affecting anything. There's no light from it being cast on the figure or the crystal ball. Paul
