Hi and Help, please, New to poser - so forgive me.....................but when I try to apply a texture to a model it doesn't fit properly, I downloaded one and it's as if it needs twisting to fit or something. Ive looked through manual - can't see anything Help, please! Cheers Poll

Sometimes textures have to be applied by individual parts, load your figure, then go to the materials library, find the body part that has the texture applied to it, find your texture and load it, do that to each body part. Sharen

If you need more specific instructions, email me and I will walk you through it....Sharen SC@sams3d.com

Is the texture specifically for the model? The objects have their own uv maps and the textures must fit these. Could you post an image so we could see the problem? Sue

It could also be what Sharen said. :)

Thank you All - I feel a right nana. image is here (Yes, typical male - using a nude girl - but it's the female business texture from the Poser folder - no wonder she looks so worried!!) I'm missing a point or something, aren't I? Ta

Go to materials and check the box that says textures material aplies to entire figure. This is the best way for P4 figures. If you still have a problem, then the texture your using is not for that figure. Hope this helps. Tashar 59

Any chance you're trying to put a P3 texture on a P4 figure, or the other way "round? I used to mess that up all the time. Beav

You're using the wrong texture for the figure. When you load the nude woman, her texture is already loaded in the Materials window, so you don't have to load it from somewhere else. If you want to use a different texture, you can find many nice ones (look here at Renderosity in the Free Stuff area). Then, after you downloaded and unzipped that texture, you can put it on Posette.

It's Posette, right? If you look for free textures for Posette, make sure that the textures you download are for her and not for somebody else like Vicki or Stephanie. :)

Ahhh, Now I see - Being new I thought (and now I think, I understand) that textures would fit all models - but that's not the way it works...................... cheers all, Poll (mental note to self: think about stuff)
