i've just started playing around with bryce 5 and can't for the life of me find the menu bar ((ya know the one with File options and stuff)) i've checked my manuals and even the pictures printed in them don't show it. I've tried hitting various combinations of buttons to see if that accesses it ((and maybe hidden it in the process)) but no joy :( can anyone put me outta my misery thanks in advance Ever "maybe i'd see the forrest if these darn tree's weren't in the way" seer

Move the cursor all the way to the top of the screen and it should appear. It's hidden to keep it out of the way.

Yeah, it's virtually Invisible, just pointed up there and the menu should pop up!!!

I really don't like that.... sure hope they give you an option on hiding it. ( next version )

LOL! It took me three days to find that little bugger. I kept doing the three finger salute to get out, swearing like a sailor each time that there must be an easier way.

Well, that's why there are the keyboard shortcuts: CTRL+C - copy CTRL+X - cut CTRL+V - paste Working with shortcuts is easier. You don't have to move your hands from keyboard nad possibly dislocate your shoulder by moving the mouse this and that way. :-)

LOL - yep, I have to do that pounding thing, too. Also for the hidden features on the right side. And that one really bothers me, but it sometimes results in actions that I neither want nor can undo. But then, that just might be 'cause I'm inept.

The one time I can find it with no problem is when Bryce is rendering. yea walk by the computer and there it is flashing like a beacon on & off.

Ooops, forgot one thing. The copy shortcut won't work if you try to copy from one Bryce window to another. I don't know why, but it always happens on my Win2000. I have to either close the window and open one file after another for ctrl+c to work, or, IIRC, have to cut the object I want to copy. Haven't tried it since the first couple of times.
