Took this Monday afternoon as the U.S. of A. celebrated Memorial Day, a day we remember those who gave their lives so that I can sit here on my butt and freely communicate with my photography friends around the world. Late afternoon, I was feeling no pain, but managed to hold the camera still enough to take this. The contrast of the afternoon light cutting into a dark room caught my eye. We have many trees around our house, so not much defused light... only that which escapes through the trees. It cuts in like a knife. This is in our bedroom looking out the window, and part of our bathroom (gasp) is also visible.

Well, thought I'd post just one, but yesterday was busy! This was in the afternoon too, but a bit earlier than the first one. This is our deck stairs (I shoot a lot of stairs) leading to the back yard. A great place for a party, and I don't even have to leave home!

OK last one! Later that night (still yesterday, but somehow now seems longer). That's Mrs. Phrank sitting on the lower deck listening to the new Buddy Guy CD, "Sweet Tea". Get it. Bet you'll love it! This was shot with a flash, and then PhotoShopped enough to see. That's it! marshall
