That first one is a beautiful light study, I like the last one too great sense of space & I'm sure we all envy you that deck!!

Took this Monday afternoon as the U.S. of A. celebrated Memorial Day, a day we remember those who gave their lives so that I can sit here on my butt and freely communicate with my photography friends around the world. Late afternoon, I was feeling no pain, but managed to hold the camera still enough to take this. The contrast of the afternoon light cutting into a dark room caught my eye. We have many trees around our house, so not much defused light... only that which escapes through the trees. It cuts in like a knife. This is in our bedroom looking out the window, and part of our bathroom (gasp) is also visible.
