That is awesome!! How is it done? :)

on the surface map edit screen there's a button marked tex. if you have the so pack plugin you can do a number of texture mapping things. i just choose the fractal as the texture map rgb overlay then tiled it 30 times so that it didn't lose it's detail.

Thank you Crystalwizard!! I think I will try that in Bryce and see what happens :) It is such a unique and beautiful effect.

Wow, that is amazing! I never thought of using fractals as a map. Wonderful!

Ok you guys!! It's all your fault (big grin) I may never surface from fractals and my computer again :( (giggles) Weeeeeeee, I did it, I did it, I did it!!! (but I'm not at all excited)(grin) Attached is my very first attempt at pulling a fractal into Bryce. The fractal was created with Flarium and then applied to everything in the picture. I tinkered with each element a wee bit. The picture was just a quickie as I was way to excited to do anything more complicated!! Thank you so much for being inspirations and for sharing knowledge :)

Thank you CrystalWizard and Little Red! Little Red, I should have put your name on the post too as you are another one who has inspired me to attempt this style of art :)
