if i have to many files in runtime, poser locks up on me. how can i make folders outside poser, and still have it find them. Like i would for psp or bryce?

To fix the Poser Lockup, there's a few things you could try. Run scandisk (assuming you're on Win, not Mac), to make sure it's not just a corrupt file that's causing it. Use Yarp's excellent P3dO to reorganize and condense your Library Folders. It's more likely too many folders than too many files, as Poser only looks at the contents of some folders. Try to get the total folders down to under 200 folders per library category if possible. There's also a commercial product in the Renderosity Marketplace that's designed to "swap in" sets of library folders at need. Hogwarden's PBoost utility is a great buy, but be sure to run his compatibility test program to make sure it will run on your system, first. If Poser still locks up, try re-installing it into a new location, and then copy in your folders a few at a time, until the problem recurs (in case it's a corrupt program file). Good luck with it! re If poser still locks up: or move files to a new location (keeping the poser folder structure intact in your new location) until the problem stops. although this method is slower it may work better if you're running low on disk space.

Howdy... Just to expand on what you said, Leatherguy... PBooost will work on all windows systems... but can be slightly restricted on XP/2000 when Windows won't let it rename/move library folders sometimes while Poser is running... although the files themselves can be moved/sorted with PBooost with Poser running. However... It has many satisfied users on XP... see the customer feedback for the product!! If you're low on space, PBooost can help you backup folders easily to another drive or CD so you can get at them when you need. Plug Plug. Hope you get back on track! Howard:)
