The Leakeys thought this model looked surprisingly familiar.

could be, they don't spend that much time in trees, went to a zoo recently (not by choice) and got up close to a gorilla and was amazed how much they do actually look like us, poor thing sitting in his cage looking at me, I could see great intelligence in his eyes and sadness. anyway back to the clue, it won't be tarzan he's been done already, so chimp or gorilla possibly. The Philadelphia Zoo used to have this gorilla named Massa, who lived to the ripe old age of 55, perhaps the oldest gorilla known. I remember seeing him sitting in his tiny cage, quite human looking. They say the obituary writer on the local paper waited for years for him to die, so he could write the line- "Massa's in De Cold Ground"

I am sticking with Tarzan... Daz has to have something to sell Loin Cloth, Hair, Swinging Vines, new Jane clothes. Remember Tarzan was raised by the apes.

lo al Also you have to realize that scientists have discuverd the roots of culture in all great apes and chimps so there are closer to us humans as ppl like to think dolly

After I saw him there, I could never go back to the zoo again. It was too disturbing to think of him stuck in that enclosure instead of a jungle, where he belonged.

We had a male silverback in Cincinnati named Hatari. God, he was gorgeous! I spent hours watching him. Cincy has great habitats, but I agree, it's not the same. I've always been amused at the species name for these guys: gorilla gorilla gorilla.

Johnathan Leaky Jr. is a Herpetologist and his brother is a 'bird-man'; perhaps it's a Half-Reptile/Half-Bird Missing Link!! (but then I am just a bird-brain..)

Could it be a model that morphs from Gorlla to Man? There was a thread some time ago that mentioned doing a picture with different stages of evolution. Perhaps they were somewhat suggestible during the lifetime of that thread:) eric

Zoo Atlanta has some BEAUTIFUL western lowland gorillas. I really miss our sweet Willie B. I used to watch him on TV, but I never got to see him in real life before he died. He was a marvelous creature. I did get to see his memorial when we went last year. And we got lots of video footage of their 22 existing gorillas. I also loved the pandas and the red pandas, and we saw two HUGE turtles mating. It was really funny to watch. :) If anyone is going to Dragon Con this summer, stop by the Atlanta Zoo. It's one of the best in the world. I wish we could go, but we moved to Arkansas. Their zoo isn't as big, but we plan to try to go sometime this summer and check it out.

Like I said before, Lucy was australopithicus or something like that, an orangatang. So, is DAZ doing a texture/morph of Clint Eastwood with his buddy Clyde?
