Try the US Geological Survey. I got several very good quality DEMs from there. Also try to find a prog called 'VISTAPRO'. It has several hundred DEMS I believe. If you get stuck, e-mail and I'll send you a selection.Attached Link: http://www.annsartgallery.com/tutdem.html
I have a tut up and you might want to consider it. I've looked at a lot of other dem sites and they all draw from USGS. There's a trick to using the raw download from USGS and that's what I put on my tut. Hope this helps.Attached Link: http://lightning.prohosting.com/~maccastl/DEM.html

I was wondering if anyone could point me to a good website that has a lot of diffrent DEMs freely available for download. I'm starting to get a litle bored with random creations in the terrain lab(and I'm no good at making it my self) thanks, big_hoovie
